It was strange to be out intentionally meeting a friend. Luke tended to run into people he'd met before and talk or whatever, but planning to go out and hang out with someone who wasn't Isaac was sort of new. Not that he'd discuss this with anyone, because he was aware that it was maybe a little strange. It was something to get used to, anyway. Especially since he had another scheduled outing coming up pretty soon that he ridiculously felt like he might need practice for.
He'd been to the cafe a time or two, usually alone or quickly to pick up some of their mozzarella sticks for Iz, so he'd suggested it when Brendon had called to meet. He arrived first and took a seat under the awning outside, pulling out his phone.
