Thad had used his lunch break to call Kudzu and invite him out for food. It wasn't like he thought Kudzu would be crushed or anything if he heard Thad wouldn't be as available for jobs as he'd used to be. After all, he was half-convinced he was slowing Kudzu down in some ways with all his basic questions and stuff. Still, treating for dinner seemed like the thing to do if he was going to share the news.
His first day working for Ty had gone pretty well, nothing too unexpected. He'd mostly been wrapping prints for sale, stuff like that. But Ty was patient with him if he had questions, even the few that had been more photography-related than errand-related. The fact that he was essentially working out of Ty's house, even just the garage, made him feel a little awkward, but he'd have to get over that feeling of intruding on a home, especially with the little dogs running in and out and everything.
He arrived first at the diner, taking a seat at a table where Kudzu would be likely to spot him. He ordered some iced tea and scribbled a few more designs for his new tattoo while he waited.
