It wasn't that he wasn't looking forward to catching up with Ty, but... It seemed that everything in his life had been on edge, with the exception of his relationship with his parents and his cousins. His mantra recently had become 'Don't Stress the Small Things' because he had been doing exactly that and it had been making him exhausted. Luckily, 'Sky and 'Chele were taking the majority of the responsibility for the Date Auction and he just had to a few of the small things - like a photographer. Hence, the impromptu business meeting with Tyler.
He ordered his drink and a scone as he waited for Ty. He'd catch a full meal later, either raid the staff fridge or swindle Sky into feeding him when he went for his own lunch. He was picking at the scone, comparing it to one of Carrie's when he caught sight of Ty and he gave an easy smile, waving at the other man. "Hey, Shutterbug," he greeted when Ty had made his way to the table. "How've you been?" His eyes drank in the image of Ty, mentally comparing him against Fisher. They were different, that was for sure. Ty looked good though. Not Fi good, but Derrick was slightly biased there.
