Blaise was frowning at the racks of shirts. Wendy had called and reminded him that it was time for his bi-annual going through the clothes and getting rid of the ones that don't fit or that he hasn't worn in the last nine months (or that have holes bigger than Joe, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, Blaise, he heard her voice in the back of his head. But then again Wendy was prone to theatrics). And then Susan had texted him to remind him that he needed actual human clothes and not more costume pieces. Regular, normal shirts and slacks.
So he was here. In the mall, looking at shirts and slacks and being utterly confused as to what would look good together on him. He'd texted Susan back already that he was going to go shopping and yes, he'd gotten rid of a bunch of clothes, and yes he'd taken pictures and emailed them to her and Wendy, and no, they didn't need to fly down here. He could do this.
Even if now he was half wishing he'd let them come down. Because this was perplexing and much more difficult than it needed to be. He'd had to first figure out what pants and shirt size he was and then slacks and jeans didn't always have the same sizes or the sizes were cut different and it was all kinds of frustrating. He needed some sort of help. So he texted Meg. "SOS at mall. Clothes shopping. Send help and maybe brownies?"
After doing that, he returned to scowling at the troublesome shirts.
