Summary: Ava calls Rori.
Completion: Incomplete
Sunday was Ava's usual grocery day, and she'd spent it at Central Market this time, which was always a bad idea. Central Market was huge, and all those ingredients were kind of like kryptonite for her. She'd spent about forty minutes in the produce section alone, and overall she'd bought a little bit too much food.
Hopefully the guys next door wouldn't get tired of trying her recipes anytime soon.
Before she'd even got a chance to put her food away, she'd got a call from her mother, whom she'd been skirting all week. Ava could only ever ignore her for so long, though; she'd never really been able to refuse her anything even when she was a kid. But talking to her was still really exhausting, even if it was her own fault their relationship was so strained.
Once she got off the phone, she kicked off her shoes and started putting away the groceries. She was in the middle of putting some carrots in the crisper when she decided to call someone she'd much rather talk to. She picked up her phone and dialed Rori's cell.
