Wow.
What a way to follow up an awesome birthday...by a whole week of laying around and hanging out. I guess the Operation: Relaxation propagandea really got into my head.
I will briefly summarize this week in the life of Josh Melvin, pausing to emphasize certain aspects:
-Monday I did nothing.
-Tuesday I did went to B-Dubs with the boys (minus Dees...whip crack)...I don't really like the new B-Dubs...it's too far down and the whole seating thing is just un-B-Dubs-like in its nature. Watched the Pistons lose.
-Wednesday I did nothing until 6, when I had a meeting for parks&rec this summer with some of my favorites, Hanna+Beth, and Amanda and this old guy who drove a van who I was partnered with. After that I did more nothing.
-Thursday I got a phone. It is sweet. call me often. The number is (248) 245-6358, yes that's right: (248) 245-MELV. Did I mention, call me? If I don't have your number, give it to me now, so I can call you lots.
-Friday I went to Great Lakes Crossing and Old Navy for a few, and stopped by Meijer to talk about working. Good old Mary Orr couldn't remember my name. Now that's management that cares.
Then I went to Amanda Nichols' birthday party. Her parents bought everybody dinner at Mesquite Creek. Try the quesadillas there. They are good. Then we agonized over the ending of the Pistons game. Chauncey made me believe again.
Then the real fun began. Julia pulled out some cards and we found out who would marry who in the future and who was smelly and who was best in bed. I was the hot-body guy each time and I was consistently the sexy fling. No problem there.
-Today, I hung out with Mic and Jay, driving to garage sales and Pizza Hut and eating stuffed crust pizzas. Then we played Halo into the wee hours of the night. Yes, til 11. Team Cowboy kicked Team 2's asses both games, and yours truly scored 3 times. And I wore a cowboy hat, so there. I enjoy Halo, when I am decent and there are many people playing.
Tomorrow, Snub, myself and others are going to see the Tigers take on the Rangers. Who will win? Will we lose? What will our signs say? Look for us on TV to find out!
I hope this post finds you in the best of sleepy days and meijer work-dreading.
