omg I just sniffed and something came out of my eye! That has made me laugh a stupid amount.
Anyway, that wasn't what I was going to start with. I was going to say "Yay I'm updating" and that my updates are becoming increasingly more infrequent. In fact, I havn't updated for a month so I will just briefly write about stuff I have done in the last month, if I can remember it.
*clears throat*
The 1st thing I can remember about May is Alexa's birthday which is on one of the funniest days of the year. "May the 4th be with you" lol. (They so should have released the new Star Wars film on that day!) I bought her Monsters Inc on DVD. Mike bought her an engagement ring for anyone who didn't know that already (I'm sure she wouldn't mind me telling you). In other Alexa news: their obese fish died.
I went to see The Producers and that was quite good. Grace was offended by it but I thought it was funny. I also, more educationally, went to see Henry IV parts 1 and 2 which I enjoyed because I like the plays (yes burcu, i do and I am not a freak - you like maths so shut up! lol.) although the guy playing Hal wasn't how I expected but the guy playing the page boy was fit (from where I was sitting anyway) so that made up for it. (I think I already said this on a comment but nevermind.)
We had politics revision days! They were not very fun. Actually, none of the revisionness I've been in for has been that fun. Surprisingly. The exams haven't been that fun either. I don't care about General Studies so that was just a stupid waste of my time. And Critical Thinking? Question: What is Critical Thinking about? That was slightly more interesting than General Studies because it was a surprise. English wasn't fun because I don't think I did very well and I am going to blame the year 13's with water guns and the screaming yr 10's for that. I had a dream last night that I failed General Studies, Maths, which I don't do, and Library Duty, which, to be honest I don't do that often - and anyway, since when was there an exam in Library Duty?? - so I don't know what that was about? I guess I am worried about my results. I suppose I would be less worried if I did some revision but there you go. I will start tomorrow. I may even start tonight to be different. However, I do have to watch Big Brother and Blackadder tonight. And don't even bother having a go at me about watching Big Brother because I do. The truth is, I like the Dermot and Davina bits and to watch those means that you have to understand what's going on, and also the people are crazy and so, funny. Seriously, they are so not normal. I don't like any of them this year (actually I didn't like any of them last year either) which possibly makes it more entertaining.
Ok, I don't know how I got from politics revision days to Big Brother in 1 paragraph but nevermind, the show must go on.
*pause*
sorry, had to go and get some pizza.
Uhh...what else did I do before half term? I helped out at yr 7 parent's evening which was scary because none of the parents knew what they were doing and I didn't know any of the teachers and dads kept talking to me.
I went to see the Bravery on Saturday. Yay! They were really good and I got some really good pictures on my phone because we were right at the front. (I really should start to take a camera) In one picture the singer is looking at me but you can't really tell that well because it's kind of blurry. (I suck at taking photos) But they were only on for about 35-40 minutes so everyone was a bit pissed even though they were really good. The support bands were ok. The 1st band were Irish and the singer kept getting electric shocks from the microphone then they took his guitar away and he was all "I can't play my guitar because it might kill me," and then had to improvise on keyboards. The 2nd band were Swedish and sounded a bit like The Hives (although I may have just assumed this as both bands are Swedish because Carly didn't think they did sound like The Hives) And before the concert, me and Carly went to Camden and this creepy guy was talking to us. To me he was all like, "I could have you if I wanted," and I was like, "I don't think so," because he was old and scary.
I have been in Newcastle with my family for the last 3 days. It was kind of boring because my grandma just got a new bathroom so they were obsessed with buying new bathroom stuff. Luckily, I got to opt out of the exciting trip to B&Q (seriously, you will not believe how excited they got about it!) We went to visit the house of George Washington's ancestors because it is close to my Grandma's house. It was relatively interesting and my mum has decided that she might be distantly related to George Washington but I am not sure how.
In future events:
I am going to fail Music (well I've already pretty much failed so whatever - I also saw Miss Toms on the train with her boyfriend on Saturday. They were going to a barbecue.)
I am going to fail Politics.
I am going to fail History.
I am going to see Finch - YAY!!!!
#...so come on and sing songs with me,
alright.
Out on the sand,
Shoot me a smile.
You'll take my hand and,
Walk a while with me.
(Hey sunshiney day)
(Hey sunshiney day)
Take a walk with me.
Hey sunshiney day.
Hey sunshiney day.
Alright.#
Hey Sunshiney Day - The Bravery
This is possibly my favourite Bravery song and I don't know why it was only a b-side and not on the album.
It is also rather ironic for me to be quoting it, as it has been grey-skied and raining across the whole country today (I know this because I have traveled down most of the A1 today), and I am aware of this.
