My Thoughts on Religion v. Science...

I live in Deep South where Religion is a huge deal so I felt I had to type this out.

Firstly, I don't see where this debate came from (wasn't John Scopes just some kinda distraction or something?). If anything, I say that God's a scientist and organisms may be it's experiments.

Failed Experiments, but still.

I also think that God is a parent that just got tired of spoiling it's children. I mean, look at humanity. According to the bible, we get ten simple rules and we (as a society) have broken each and every one of them multiple times and on some occasion said that it was for God (Dude, killing for God, where did it ever say to do that at?). I'm sure God would be all "didn't I just say..." before saying, "y'know what, I'm done".

Then there's the question of "Well then, if God's so perfect, wouldn't he be able to change it for the better?". My answer to that is simply, "he does, it's call a brand new day"...We're literally being given a full 24 hours to clean up our act and make ourselves better (with people even offering to help out, el gaspo!) and some people just do what they wanna do.

And what do most people wanna do?

shit's crazy, right?

The reason why I believe in God is simply because I think that there is a pretty cool old person up there that's just wanting us to do better on our own because heaven forbid the ones that want us to do worse (heh heh, devil joke...heaven forbid...because of the fall of the devil?)

Either way, that plus I spoke to God once (crazy, right? I know) and he pretty much told me "Dude, if I killed every person that was against my views, the human race would-a been extinct eons ago".
