I can't take working at Seabra anymore, solely on moral and ethical grounds. To be both basic and blunt, I can no longer tolerate the two-faced management running both the store and my department. One cigarette and one drink wouldn't have killed you, I promise. It may be better that you didn't try them simply to relieve the stress, but maybe in a less stressful time you should. That way you can see those things as they really are- social time passers- instead of the horrendously evil sins you're seeing them as now. And you won't regret a martini the next morning because you'd be trying it for the experience, not to settle rage. This is why most people become alcoholics and smokers- because it's seen as such a taboo and in a moment of stupidity, because they're stressed and pressured and don't have previous experience with the substances, they go overboard and get hammered and seem to think that somehow their hangover is making their life problems "bearable".

I know your reasons for not drinking. Denton is the same way. But I come from a family of seven (yes, seven) alcoholics in my immediate bloodline that I have watched while growing up. I'm nowhere near an alcoholic. It's all on how you're introduced to these things. So ( ... )
