"Back so soon, kupo?"
"Dunno what you're talking about 'soon'. It's been a long time."
The
little pig creature only fluttered it's tiny wings and tweaked it's nose, seemingly chortling to itself before it handed a small plastic bag over the shop counter to Axel. With a nod in thanks he accepted it and then turned to take off down the frosted

Wandering into the kitchen to make a pot of tea, Sheena broke her promise to herself and stole a glance at the calendar. Still a long time before Axel came home. Trying not to think about the lonely days ahead without him, she set about making the tea. Soon, she returned to her spot in front of the fire with a tray holding the pot, a steaming cup of the beverage, and a plate full of her homemade cookies.
She had just set the tray down on the floor and joined it when the knock came on the door. With a disgruntled sigh, she stood again, and trying not to grumble, headed for the door. Axel's friends meant well by visiting and keeping her company, but couldn't she spend just one night alone in front of the fire thinking about him?
She opened the door quickly, ready to ask whoever was there to leave, but froze at the sight that greeted her. "Axel?" she asked quietly, before letting out a surprised, but pleased, cry and leaping into his arms.
"Axel! I missed you!" she exclaimed, just in case he couldn't tell.

Roxas had told him all about her and how he had been trying to keep her company. Even Xion had pitched in to be the female support. But even if their company had been fun and dandy, Axel had always heard the same thing anyway: she missed him. Axel knew about missing and he knew that it hurt like all hell--like a bitter pill that just wouldn't go down in his throat, so who was he to put Sheena through the same thing?
His boss, he guessed. Sighing, he leaned up against the wall beside the door, waiting and waiting, before finally when the door opened he straightened up only to be squeezed near half to death. Chuckling, Axel managed to wrap his arms around her, one hand rested at the back of her head.
"So I've heard."

"You heard--? How?" Then the light dawned. "Oh. Roxas and Xion must have told you." She hadn't expected that. She hadn't wanted him to worry about her while he was gone, but she had to wonder just how many times she said it for them to tell him. It must have been a lot. She could feel her cheeks warming in embarrassment even as her expression turned impish.
"Well, I did. What are you going to do about that?"

Axel sighed. Distance makes the heart grow stronger, as they say...whoever "they" was.
"Well, I don't have to do anything." As he said it, Axel loosened his hold around her so that he could step inside and shut the door behind him. "...Except maybe stick around and keep you company for a day or two."
((OOC: ...Oh god that's so true. What does this mean.))

How could she tell him that despite how much she enjoyed their company, she just wanted to miss him alone once in a while? To let her memories bring him here even when he wasn't physically? Their constant company seemed to keep him away even longer.
She stepped back as he entered, her smile becoming unsure for a second as he closed the door before becoming bright once more. "That's more than enough!" she said happily.
And Axel once more had a dark-haired woman decorating his chest as she clasped her arms about his neck.

He knew how hard her punches could be.
He nearly wobbled and fell over when she once again latched onto his neck.
"Gee. You'd think you'd have gotten used to not having me around all that time."

And his attacks weren't love-taps, either.
She liked being a necklace for him, but when he lost his footing, she settled on to her feet and rested her hands on his chest. As much as she missed him, having him fall on her was not part of her homecoming plans. Well, not in that way....
"I don't want to get used to it," she said, unsure if she should tell him how she felt about Roxas and Xion's constant visits.

He sighed when she lowered herself back down to her feet and then placed a hand atop her head, ruffling up her hair a bit in a reassuring manner.
"I know you don't."

She gave him a wry look when he ruffled her hair. Her mock-irritated "Stop that" didn't follow, because, really, she didn't want him to.
She leaned up and kissed him in gratitude. He knew she'd never be selfish and ask him to quit his job for her--that wouldn't be fair to him. She just needed time to adjust.
And she also needed a smack in the head. It took her kissing him to realize just how cold he was. She should have known sooner. Breaking off, she grabbed his hand and led him to in front of the fire. "Sit down here and warm up, Axel."

The snow was freaking terrible.
"Sounds like a plan," he said before he stripped himself free of his coat and scarf and haphazardly tossed them onto the couch. With a content sigh he sat down and allowed the fire to invade his system and increase his strength a little more. Dressed in a grey turtleneck, black pants and boots, he tugged at her wrist to get her to sit beside him. "C'mere."

No, no thinking about that.
With a roll of her eyes, she picked up his coat and scarf and put them where they belonged so they could dry--without getting the furniture wet. The fact she did it immediately was a clue that he wasn't the only one who knew what might happen.
Quickly returning, she stopped a moment, her breath catching at the sight of him in front of the fire. It wasn't just the heat of the dancing flames that warmed her as she drew near him, her hands aiming for his shoulders when he caught one.
The massage she had planned to give him could wait for a few moments, since his idea sounded so much better to her. With a small smile, she did as requested, sitting beside him with her chin resting on his shoulder as she looked up at him.
"You look good..."

Axel's eyes widened a little when he hear her words and with a scoff he turned to look down at her. "What're you talking about? Last I checked I looked dog tired." And that wasn't a modest statement; Axel actually knew that he looked tired. His eyes were a bit sunken in and his posture wasn't as straight as it usually would have been. Still. It was a nice thing for her to say.

Sitting next to him, she could tell how tired he was, but to her, he did look good. She placed her hand on his cheek gently, letting her thumb glide slowly over the skin. "I know you're tired, Axel, but that doesn't mean I still can't find you attractive, does it?" She stayed that way for a moment before shifting behind him and pulling him back towards her. She kneaded his shoulders lightly while letting his head rest on one of hers.

Even for Sheena, someone he was this close with--Mm. Maybe it was a little selfish and pathetic, but, more than anything, it was for her protection. She didn't have to know everything about him.
Sighing, he leaned back into her touches and rolled his shoulders a bit to try and relieve the tension even more. The warmth and her touches were certainly aiding that, thankfully.
"Mm...Guess so," he said with a shrug. There was silence, then, for a long while, before he glanced over his shoulder to speak up one more time. "...How've you been?"
((OOC: Sure! I'd love to continue it~))

He might have been protecting her, but from her point of view, there was something to be said about not knowing everything about him, giving him an air of mystery she rather liked.
Placing a tender kiss on his forehead, her fingers continued their efforts, gently working into the skin as she moved them slowly back and forth from arm to neck.
His comment got an eye-roll accompanied by a smile in response. "Good. Poor you will just have to deal with me thinking you're handsome." Chuckling, she lay her head to his, basking in both his scent and proximity for that silent moment. The smile on lips was reflected in her eyes as she returned his look. "The morning sickness is gone."
And her baby belly was showing more.

He scoffed softly. "Good," he said as he shut his eyes and leaned against her. "But soon those cravings are gonna take place instead, you know."
