reintro kinda thing. there be tentacles here!

There wasn't anything too out of ordinary looking about this pool.  The water was mostly still save for a few small ripples here and there that disturbed the otherwise glass like surface.  There was also some sort of reddish ball, almost like an eye, drifting  aimlessly beneath the surface.  Though itwas only about the size of a basketball and ( Read more... )

Wander? Rikku does not wander into a pool. No, this is a girl who, as soon as she saw the pool, pulled off her skirt and sleeves and boots and scarf, and ran headlong into it. "Ya-hoo!!!"

What? It's a pool! She hadn't been in one in ages she felt like and this heat around her was just so bothersome. You would think growing up in the desert would have helped but not this time. And so, a lovely looking pool with a toy in it was hardly going to stop her from cooling off.

Intruder. There was an intruder in it's domain. The eye swiveled, following her movement as she swam and cooled off. It wouldn't stay motionless for long. Its form was invisible in the water, or rather, all of the water itself made up its form thus making it impossible to detect, until it made itself detectable that is.

Invisible hands made of water grasped at the girl's legs. She would know soon enough why it wasn't wise to just jump into any old pool

She hummed to herself as she swam about. "Mmm... this feel nice~!"

It was so cooling and refreshing, letting not think about that annoying heat between her legs. That is, until something grabbed her legs.

"Hey, what-?!" She jerked and tried to swim away, looking into the water to see what it was. She stopped, however, when she saw nothing. "Hey, what's going on here?" She shook her legs again, trying to dislodge the grabbing feeling.

Jacie entered the room, pleased and surprised to see what looked like a pool. She hadn't been aware of where it was, but it seemed like this was her lucky day. Spotting a changing room and swimsuits of various cuts, she course a simple black two piece. She never really got to wear one before, to perhaps this would be a good chance to do so.

Pulling her dark hair back into a ponytail, she made her way to the pool with barely restrained excitement. She saw the red thing in the water, but she just assumed it was a toy or something else left behind. Sitting on the edge of the pool, she slipped her legs into the water and closed her eyes with a soft sigh.

Morpha was unconcerned with the woman who wandered around nearby. Unconcerned at least until she made the mistake of dangling her legs into the water. At that second she became a trespasser in it's mind. And trespassing in it's domain had consequences.

But first to pull her fully into the water where it had the most control. Tendrils, invisible to the eye because they were made of the same water that filled the pool, wrapped around her ankles and tugged sharply, dragging her into the cool waters.

Leaning her head back, Jacie sighed in contentment as the cool water washed over her legs. Content to simply relax where she was, she didn't notice anything that may have been wrong with the water.

Yelping softly as she was suddenly grabbed and pulled into the water, she thrashed as she tried to make it back to the surface. It felt like tentacles, but that couldn't be right...she knew there were such monsters here, but not that they hid in the water.

Victor hated the winter even in the Hotel and when he heard there was a heated pool not far from his room, he decided to head over for some laps. Stepping into the room, he closed the door behind himself and dropped his towel on a small bench in the room. Pulling off his shirt, the green mutant started towards the water.

"Doesn't look heated..."

An excellent swimmer, Ranka's always liked water. While swimming pools couldn't match up to Frontier's artificial beaches, she was happy to see the cool, clear water, ignoring the odd red sphere to run and grab a swimsuit.

Coming back with a skimpy yellow bikini, she slid into the water, kicking a few times before rolling over to float on her back, letting out a contented sigh. It was nice to just enjoy herself like this.

[ No limits on prefs, btw. ]

A pool! Oh thank goodness! For the Sorceress, she'd been stuck in this Hotel for like a week now with no chance to wash up, and thus she was smelling kinda gamey. All the more reason to get out of her stinky clothes and toss them off to the side before jumping straight in!

(All things considered, I suspect that the Sorceress miiiight be able to defeat the Morpha. Of course, if it's okay with you, it'd be followed by forming a contract with the Morpha, boosting its intelligence with magic buffs, and maybe having more fun with it.)
