It all happened at once. The feel of fur against her bare legs, the smell of food - bacon, eggs, coffee, the sound of running water. The sounds, smells and sensations came together and Selina stirred on the bed slowly. As she moved herself, it was only then than the ache filled her body. She reached up with a hand pushing the hair from her eyes slowly, squinting at the sunlight streaming through a small gap in the curtains - falling directly on to the pillow beside her. She hurt, every single fibre of her body was sore and stiff. But she could remember everything, it was crystallised in her memory.

She closed her eyes again for a moment, holding them tight shut, trying to erase it. What the fuck am I doing? - What did I do? The soft warm feel of fur lower down at her waist made her feel marginally better. There would be time for regret, she was sure. But now was definitely not it ( ... )

There was nothing quite as refreshing as a warm shower, he found. It also helped to clear is head somewhat, to sort his thoughts, though it did nothing to keep him awake. He'd considered taking a cold shower at first, but he knew he'd manage even without one. He could (and preferred to) function on very little sleep; the only downside to that was that he usually looked like it, too. Wearing himself thin. But that was as much his own responsibility as everything else.

He smoothed his hair back, holding it under the hot stream of water to wash out the shampoo he'd rubbed into it just moments ago, wondering what would happen once Selina woke up and what he'd even say to her. He really didn't know. How about Good morning, sorry about fucking your brains out last night? Like that would make up for what he'd done to her last night, justify his actions. I really don't know what got into me... Taking advantage of a stranger like that.

Maybe he really had been just that pent up. No surprise, considering he usually tried to set an example ( ... )

Continuing to gulp down the last of the juice, Selina heard the cat let out a low wail. It's tail was swishing slightly, not in an irritated way but signaling to her that something was moving in the other room. She reached down with a hand, scratching the back of it's little head with her nails, running her fingers through it's coat. She spoke softly, her voice a little rough ( ... )

... Well, apparently it really was that easy... for her, anyway. Actually, he was a little surprised that she was awake and still here at all, considering the door wasn't locked and she could probably find a way out of the hotel without anyone seeing her. To see her sitting there, even touching the breakfast he'd had brought to the room, was kind of reassuring. Maybe she really had enjoyed their little tête-à-tête in a twisted sort of way. Either that or she simply still felt too weak... not that he'd blame her after all of that ( ... )

Selina raised a hand, wafting the thick cigar smoke out of he face. She didn't mind it really, but it was all a big much for how she was feeling. The strong smell stung her nose, and her eyebrows flicked for a moment. Slowly she sat back in her chair further, clearing her throat, coughing. She stared at him, unblinking for a second. There was an unspoken air of awkwardness around him, she found it strange considering everything - it was strangely sweet. Maybe in the clear and bright light of day he regretted it. Or maybe he'd liked it. She's find out eventually anyway ( ... )
