After a quiet night in his room, Balthazar wakes in a labyrinth of clutter and dust, sprawled across a threadbare red velvet divan. The smell of the place, and the feel, is so utterly familiar he sits bolt upright. Home? Home! Delight and relief are immediately replaced by a vague sense of regret. He can't quite remember where he thought he

He tilted his head up at the armor and knocked on it again. How did this thing move? It really didn't matter because he could just easily move it back. Unless this place decided to not like him with powers. "Is there anything that you haven't tried doing yet?"
[[ooc: I couldn't help but laugh, thanks Balthazar! :D]]

The sorcerer turns, with a blaze of searing light. His powers are slower than usual to respond, and take more effort to summon (concerning matters in and of themselves), but he's not helpless. He moves with very mortal but not unimpressive agility, out of the window area and into open floor.
"I haven't tried questioning my uninvited guest," his voice is even. "So why don't you answer me: how did you get in, and how long have you been here? Also, that suit of armor is worth between twenty and fifty thousand dollars, so don't put any dents in it, thank you."
((Glad to amuse, but do keep in mind Balthazar has no idea yet whether Jack is behind the weirdness or not. He's not going to be real friendly to start out with ( ... )

Woah, woah! What the-- The blonde quickly moved out of the way from the light. Fireworks? Who knows? But that scared the shit out of him. He couldn't do shiny things like that. The only thing he could do was, hey! Move giant armor suits back to where they belonged. He could do that, but that wouldn't look too good. He was a good guy, good guy"You're little magic, thing, power, that you have going on. I don't have powers like that.. well.. at least not powers like yours. I'm. human. with some kind of extent of powers. It's... a long explanation and it's not exactly easy." Slight change of topic but he wanted to show that he was... harmless. Jack quickly put up ( ... )

After a second's thought, he adds, "Which table? They don't normally do that, you know. Drag people in from other dimensions, that is. I'm assuming that's what's going on here, although I can't imagine what purpose anyone would have for trapping both of us in my shop."
He glances back over his shoulder at the darkened window. "Also, don't break any glass. There's some serious pressure out there. I don't want to find out what's causing it firsthand. Not until I know whether I can survive it."
((Okay, cool. I'm preparing for a craft show this weekend, so I'll be slow or unavailable until Sunday afternoon/evening. I'll catch up then, though. :) ))

If Balthazar wanted to be defensive, he could be defensive too! "The table that's surrounded by weird looking antiques! You should be lucky I didn't just fall off and crashed into something. Why are we trapped in the first place? How do we get out?"
So many questions, yet he didn't seem to care that he asked a bunch right after the other. "...that should be if we can survive it. I'm not one to just go around breaking windows."
[ooc: sorry for this to take so long. been suuper busy the past couple of days. And have fun at the craft show! :D]

He's relaxing a little now, irritated but accepting that the stranger is not an immediate threat. Not so much as the encroaching darkness, surely. "I can't answer the rest of that yet. I want to check out the view from the upper floors."
There are skylights in the ceiling overhead, and they, too, are black, but there's a chance they can see more out of the apartment windows or the attic. "You'd better come with me. I don't want you wandering until I'm sure what's going on. For multiple reasons." Despite the authoritative tone, he watches the other man for assent before moving off.
((Not a problem, and thanks! :) ))
