It caused a strong sense of disconnection, and he let out a deep, irritated breath, his fingers smoothing down the two dark wings at his hips absently, feathers a bit ruffled

"Sephiroth?"

She stopped when she rounded the corner and spotted him, blinking a couple of times. Wait a minute, something seemed... Weird about him. It'd probably take her a little bit to identify what, but at the time she didn't know. And she wasn't even going to ask about the Japanese robe he was wearing.

Whether Adela would be the distraction he was looking for or not was anyone's guess.

He blinked, then turned. "Adela."

Okay, definitely the one she knew. But something was definitely weird about him. Wordlessly she ran up to him, slowing to a stop once she was beside him and looking over him, "Something happen to you?"

He blinked a couple times. "Not that I'm aware of?"

"Huh... Something's off, so I thought something had," She seemed a little embarrassed that she had apparently guessed wrong, clearing her throat before she tried to shake it off, "Guess it was nothing."

He closed his eyes to take stock of himself, then grimaced. "Don't discount your instincts so quickly in the future."

She... Had never seen him blush. That was strange enough, but now that she was focused again she finally managed to pinpoint it, "It's... Something about your heart, isn't it?"

"Not exactly. Though it explains my discomfiture. There's Light -clinging- to me..."

"Light's uncomfortable for you?" More and more she seemed confused, and she stepped a little closer to him. She didn't know why, but more than usual she just wanted to be near him. Even if it was different and weird, it was also comforting, as if it was calling her.

"Yes, of course. In the purer forms it simply burns if I stay in prolonged contact. Like this it simply... irritates."

"Well, at least it's not that bad. Hope it's just temporary though," She looked him over quickly before a frown tugged at her lips, "So it'd hurt you if you were near someone whose heart was filled with light?"

"I have met someone whose every touch burned me, and mine them." He inclined his head. "Most of those who have Light filled hearts do not cause that reaction so he was... unique."

She nodded, rubbing her arm a little as she sighed, "That's good."

After a moment her eyes darted to the kimono, and she looked back up at him, "Where'd you get the robe you're wearing?"

He flicked his fingers off to his right. "At the festival."

"Festival?" Her head tilted and she blinked a couple of times, her interest apparently caught at the message. Going to festivals and the like wasn't really something she did a lot back home, after all... But, a moment later, she ended up glancing up at Sephiroth, feeling a little awkward with what she was about to say.

"It looks... Nice, on you."

He looked sideways at her, then huffed out a soft breath and glanced to the side. "I'm glad. It would be a pity if I looked foolish."
