It caused a strong sense of disconnection, and he let out a deep, irritated breath, his fingers smoothing down the two dark wings at his hips absently, feathers a bit ruffled

She was wandering through the countless lanterns that had just been released into the air. There was something so surreal at seeing these paper lamps floating towards the skies and becoming ephemeral stars themselves.

There was a familiar presence around, but it was not where she was at the moment. Her gut told her that it was someone she knew. So she made her way towards them and smiled softly at finding out who it was. Of all places, she did not expect him to see him here, though considering this was a strange place to begin with, anything seemed possible.

Wearing a blue and gold kimono and with her hair braided and tied into a tight bun, Tifa walked up towards Sephiroth. "Hello again," she said with a smile.

He paused and peered down at the woman. "Tifa."

"How are you doing? Did you just come back from the festival?" She knew he was not the Sephiroth from her world, but wondered if he had ever been to one of these festivals before.

"I did. It was very... colorful."

She smiled at his comment, and his deliberate use of the word colourful. "Not what you had in mind?" There was evident laughter in her voice, but she made sure to keep that in check.

"I didn't care for the atmosphere."

Tifa was a little put down as she wanted to attend, but did not feel like going alone. "Would you care to do something else, then? I had planned on going, but not alone."

He looked sideways at her. "I'm always open to suggestions."
