Ever since he'd woken from the months' long sleep, things had been different, odd, around the hotel. The people he knew had either vastly changed or were simply... gone. It caused a strong sense of disconnection, and he let out a deep, irritated breath, his fingers smoothing down the two dark wings at his hips absently, feathers a bit ruffled

Gone, and returning, only to be thrown out again, and brought again, had been rather a confusing experience. What was reality? What could he do? In reality, he'd only been at home for about a day before being yanked back, as odd as it was.

It was with thoughts not unlike this that Cloud huffed in irritation to himself, feeling terribly uncomfortable in such a place of Light. It felt like it itched his skin and pounded in his brain - invasive and bothersome - even after he left the damn place. He knew that pain medication would not be able to help him - it rushed through his system way too fast to be of any good.

Even so, he found himself dressed for the festivities, wearing a pure white kimono that was, at the sleeves, dyed the rich red color of fresh blood. It was pretty, and reminded him of the times that he woke up with betta fish fins. He'd lingered long enough to pocket some sweets afterward, but he couldn't stand it any further.

His wings were out, half-wrapped around him as he sulked in a corner of a hallway as he waited for his head to stop pounding, his wings dripping darkness and letting it extend along his shadow.

At least... until he sensed a familiar darkness. Eyes widening in surprise, and then warming in delight, he made a mad dash to follow the trail. Sure, he felt the Light that Sephiroth also held, but for the moment, he chalked it up to his headache.

He hadn't felt that sensation since before his rest. Pausing, he waited to see if the man was the one he thought he was.

"Master!!" Upon seeing him, Cloud gave him a bright grin and ran as best as he could with the kimono on, and immediately wrapped his arms around Sephiroth in a hug. His wings fluttered, stretching out.

He froze, then reached forward to wrap his arms securely around the blond.

Excuse him while he's busy nuzzling Sephiroth. His grip tightens faintly, his wings wrapping around them both.

"Missed you," he mumbled against Sephiroth's chest.

"I was gone a while." He kissed his hair.

"I seemed to be gone awhile too, even though only about a day passed for me at home. I say "about" because when I blinked once, I found myself here again."

The kiss makes him smile, and he nuzzles Sephiroth's chest, kissing him there.

He ran his fingers down his back. "Did you then?"

Ooh, he liked that. He shivered slightly, pressing against those fingers. They were nicely distracting from the pounding in his head.

"Mmhm..." Distracting touch was distracting.

"Ugh, that Light festival made my head hurt. Too much light...."

"It shouldn't have been that bad."

"Maybe not but it does." He huffed slightly and pressed his forehead against his chest.

"Maybe. I won't claim one way or another."

"Mmmm..." Although he was starting to get comfortable, he began to notice that Light that Sephiroth had, and he made a soft sound of confusion.

"Ah... when did you get Light in you?"

He stilled. "Light?"

"Yes, Light." He still didn't move from where he was pressed against him.

"...The hotel, maybe? It's weird. Like... you're you, but you also have that - it's there, but not there, but there." He frowned in obvious confusion, not sure how else to explain it.

"I... believe I understand yes."
