NO EVENT, NO APHRO, CR ONLY PLEASE

This whole dimension was very much getting to the Doctor. Since he'd arrived here, he'd been held in bondage, awoken next to total strangers, and treated women who had been abused and even raped. It had definitely put a damper on the whole "now a human" situation. "This simply cannot be the way things have to be run here," he mused to himself, ( Read more... )

Rangiku had been traveling the halls, heading for the Hotel's restaurant to have dinner and a drink before she would quickly go back to her room before anything would happen to her. She seemed to be deep in thought as she walked along.

Ha ha ha, that would be awesome, yes. notadoorstop May 11 2010, 22:32:07 UTC
Well, that was an accident waiting to happen. The Doctor hadn't meant to bump into her, but with them both somewhat lost in thought it was hard to avoid. "I'm terribly sorry," he apologized, smiling at the woman. "I must not have been paying attention."

"That's quite alright. I was just on my way for something to eat. Would you ... care to join me?" 'Fortune favored the bold and foolish', wasn't that the saying? Honestly, the Doctor had little or no lewd thoughts in mind (odd as that might have seemed), but truly did like the idea of having company as he ate.

Sure, why not? notadoorstop May 12 2010, 07:27:27 UTC
"Cash?" the Doctor asked incredulously. "You mean this place still utilizes currency?" Oh, damn. That certainly put a damper on things. He hadn't even considered that possibility!

"Is this machine the only ... 'food' source here?" There had to be more. Maybe a Federation-style restaurant, or an old Communist-style food shack. Something that didn't take coins or bills.

"No, I'm afraid not. Where I come from, currency has almost ceased to exist." Never mind he was a hologram before that and thus wouldn't be paid anyway. That was for more personally known parties to be made aware of. "As for how to get food now, I'm rather ... perplexed."

Have a zombie!AU sci-fi doctor? callmeambitious May 12 2010, 05:19:07 UTC
Nicholas Rush couldn't remember the last time he'd eaten.

Of course, that was hardly the first thing on his mind. He'd finally located some facilities sufficient for his research, and currently, weakened samples of the zed virus were incubating, all of them representing possibilities for a vaccine. A better vaccine, given that the one he'd developed still had a 34% mortality rate, which was unacceptable.

He ran his hand through his hair, trying to ignore the noise from outside the door. The lab was intolerably warm unless he left the door open, for air to circulate, but the price in terms of watchers, passers-by, unwanted visitors was almost too high. He preferred to work alone.

Ignoring the pangs of hunger (when had he last eaten?) he pulled out one of his spiral-bound notebooks, and a worn pencil, and started scribbling.

Yay doctors! notadoorstop May 12 2010, 07:30:04 UTC
"Hello there," the Doctor greeted, noting the very 'absent-minded professor' appearance of the other man. Were the Doctor not such a 'fussbucket' (Ensign Kim's words, not his own), he found himself agreeing that he too might have that appearance at times. "Have you been here long? I've just left my sickbay and I'm trying to find someplace to ... eat."

Damn, that idea was still weird. Sure, he'd simulated the act often enough on the holodeck, but to actually require sustenance made it so much stranger.

Doctor - Doctor confusion? lone_defender May 12 2010, 11:13:21 UTC
Alright, the hotel was just getting to be annoying now. Rose had only so much patience for no progress, and as it stood, she hadn't even found a TARDIS. Ridiculous.

In fact, she'd actually gotten to the point where she was asking passerbys if they'd seen something blue in this red place. And, well...blue lab coat, maybe he had. "You wouldn't happen to have seen a big...blue...box anywhere about? This high? Says 'Police box' on it?"

Robert Picardo is totally a Time Lord. notadoorstop May 12 2010, 11:16:26 UTC
"A police box? I'm the Doctor, not a navicomputer," he replied, arching an eyebrow at the woman before him. His irritation abruptly faded when he realized he was probably just hungry, and that was no excuse for taking it out on everyone around him.

"No, I haven't," he answered finally, sighing and holding out his hand in apology. "As I said, I'm the Doctor. May I ask your name?"

Hah! Clearly. lone_defender May 12 2010, 11:49:48 UTC
She mirrored that eyebrow right back at him. The Doctor...but not recognizing a big blue box? Could it be a parallel universe? Or one of him from before the TARDIS ended up a blue box? He had mentioned it used to change...

"Ah..." She frowned slightly, and took his hand after a moment. "Just the Doctor?" Oh, check out that cleverly dodged name.

"That's correct. Now, who are you again? I really don't want to guess; I'm a doctor, not a psychic." Honestly, though, he was rather wryly amused now.

Odd enough that he arrived in an instant, by which he could identity no cause, Brainiac 5 couldn't have expected being expelled from his laboratory to, what appeared to be a anchient hotel of some kind. Obviously.

Of course the young green skinned super genius android is not paying any attention to where he's walking as he's analyzing his data, trying to pinpoint just where exactly in the galaxy he was, and more importantly, why.

Well, that was an unfortunate bump. The Doctor certainly hadn't expected to bump into anyone else, and he had been certain he was paying attention. "Excuse me," he apologized, turning to regard the green young man. "I must not have seen you."

Brainy stopped short, pulling away from the man who's shoulder he bumped. He looked up at the older man, "It's fine, and partly my fault. Sorry." He stated flatly.

"I'm mildly disorientated and this place is not exactly familiar. I doubt it's in the right century, let alone the correct dimension."

"Very much the incorrect dimension for most anyone, it appears," the Doctor replied, nodding in agreement, "and I'm honestly not sure about the time here. Everyone seems to be from different time periods here. I even met one woman from 12th century Earth. It was really quite strange."
