TF: Age of Extinction trailer

Nothing about this leaves me feeling positive about the movie. My personal big wtfs/ turn offs?
1. The magical advancement of human technology that suddenly makes Autobots redundant. Given that human technology in the Bayverse is based off Megatron, this one actually is plausible plus alien invasions means plenty of military funding and huge motivation for large teams to be working together. But, as someone who's life is currently grinding away in research right now, science doesn't move that fast.
2. I await an interesting female lead. Bay at some point allegedly promised (I can't remember where I heard it around) a strong female lead for this movie but those are words that have come to mean nothing to me in regards to action/sci-fi/fantasy movies. I want interesting characters and I also want interesting female characters to hold an equal role to their male counterparts.
3. Humans in Transformers. I'm sick to death with them. I'm sick of the plots being bogged down by human drama and their lives. Because every second we are paying attention to the humans, we are not paying attention to giant alien robots. The giant alien robots don't get to be developed, don't get to be fully fledged characters because humans are occupying the center stage. I really just want to watch a giant alien robot war. I don't care about the squishies. And in particular, I don't care about squishies in America because everything Hollywood does is in America. It likes to forget that there is a whole world out there of completely different cultures and environments.
I think, basically, I'm sick of nerd culture being geared towards the average white male fan and ignoring just about every other fan out there (also, I'm tired of Bayverse robots being shoved out of the limelight). And yet, despite how not-enthused I am about this thing, I'll probably go watch it.
Meanwhile: Sent in my PC specs for the Transformers Universe MMO. Here's to hoping I'll make it to the beta.
