“Why don't we go somewhere today?” One of the boys asked
“Where?”
“Oh...wait...”
“Where are you looking at? Yah, where are you going?”
“Didn't you hear? A piano.”
“Piano? I don't hear it.”
“There! There it goes again. Can you hear it now?”
“Hum. I wonder where does it come from.”
“You don't have to be very smart to know that! It's from the music room, of course!”
“Yah! Where are you going? I thought we were going out somewhere!”

Yoon Ki woke up suddenly after his dream, panting a little. It was not a nightmare and yet he felt like he just had one. He was not all that used to dreaming but for some reason that was becoming something frequent for a couple of weeks now.
He finally woke up completely, inspecting the place carefully and finally realizing where he was as soon as he turned around and saw Yoon Jae lying next to him, still sleeping. He got up from the bed, putting on his boxers and picking up the rest of his clothes, still scattered around the floor. He got inside the bathroom, took a quick shower and ten minutes later he was out, fully dressed.
Yoon Ki sneaked a peek into the bedroom once again and saw the girl still sleeping so he decided to head to the kitchen instead and then back to the bedroom where he put a small red package on the pillow next to the girl, along with a small note and left.
About fifteen minutes later, Yoon Jae started waking up trying to adjust her eyes to the sunlight inside the room. Her eyes darted immediately to the other side of the bed, empty by now. She looked around and before getting up, noticed the red package on the pillow and the note next to it. As she opened it, something shiny came out and as she picked it up and looked at it she recognized it at once: a shiny silver necklace with a heart and a musical note with two pink stones on it; the same necklace she saw in that store that both her ans Yoon Ki went the previous day. She had seen the necklace as the boy was busy looking for other things but since she had no money to buy it, she had forgotten about it.
She opened the folded paper that was left with the necklace and read Yoon Ki's note then.
«Before you even start having weird ideas about the reason why I'm giving you this, I'm just telling you: it's not it! Don't think it's some kind of 'thanks' for last night. I saw you looking at it at the store and since I made you spend all your money that day, I decided to give it to you. Hope you like it.
Yoon Ki»
She smiled at the note and then at the necklace as she held it in her hand.
Wrapping the sheet around herself, she got slowly out of bed and got inside the bathroom, putting the necklace on then and smiling at it dangling around her neck now. She was thinking about taking a shower when the bell rang.
“Huh? Who would it be at this hour? I wonder if it's Sung Ri...” She thought, as she ran to open the door and as she did, a familiar face greeted her but it was definitely not Sung Ri though.
“Do you always open the door looking like that?” Yoon Ki asked, looking at the bed sheet wrapped around the girl.
“W-What? No, of course not, it's just that... I mean, what are you doing here? I thought you left”
“You should be ashamed,” He started, as he made way and got inside the girl's house, heading immediately to the kitchen “I opened the fridge and there was nothing inside. How were you planning to survive with no food?”
“You went shopping?”
“Of course. I need breakfast.” He said, matter of factly “You were seriously thinking about living at my expense for the rest of the week, weren't you?” He asked while taking the food out of the bags.
“What is that?” She asked, changing the subject.
“Oh those are books. I just passed by the book store on my way here.”
“You have some serious obsession for books don't you? Do you want me to put this one inside the bag as well?” She asked, grabbing the only book that was outside the bag.
“No, leave that one out.” He responded
“I'll put them in the bedroom and you can take them when you leave.”
He nodded
“I'm going to get dressed. Do you need my help there?”
“No, you can go.”
Yoon Jae left to her room and put the bag with Yoon Ki's books on top of her table as well as the single book and quickly got dressed.
She took her scattered clothes and put them in the laundry's basket and then noticed that the red package where her necklace was on the ground, under one of her book shelves so she knelt down in order to reach it but as soon as she tried to get up, she wrongly measured her distance and hit her head hard on the shelve, making it shake enough for some books and other objects to fall.
“Ouch, my head...”
Yoon Jae got up, rubbing her head and quickly, throwing away the red paper package and picking up her books in order to put them on the shelve again but as she did it. She noticed another thing that had fallen: a picture frame and on the picture there was a boy smiling brightly.
She sighed “Don't look at me like that” She said, looking at the picture while putting it back in place
“Yoon Jae, can you come here for a moment?” Yoon Ki called from the kitchen
“I'm coming!” She said, preparing to leave the room. However, she stopped and once again glanced at the picture of the smiling boy, deciding to turn it face down before she left the room again.

Hee Soo woke up as her phone kept ringing non-stop so she cursed whoever was calling her at that hour when it was Saturday and picked up the call.
“Yeobuseo?”
“Still sleeping?” The other person asked
“Who...?”
“I see I have to call you more often if you are going to forget my voice like that. It's Yunho.”
She perked at the mention of the name then “OH! Sorry, I am not quite awake yet.”
“Well then I would advise you to wake up quickly because I'm waiting for you.” He said
“What? Where? Were we supposed to go out today?”
“Look through your window. I'm right in front of your gate.”
“You are here?”
“Hum”
The girl got immediately up from her bed, went to her window and as soon as she removed the curtains she saw the boy down there, waving at her.
“Do you believe me now? Hurry up and get dressed.”
“Where are we going?”
“It's a surprise. Hurry.” He said before hanging up.
Hee Soo did what he told her and in a matter of minutes she got dressed and ready to leave.
Coincidentally, as she was leaving her room, she saw Yoochun heading for the stairs and instinctively ran to greet him.
“Good morning!”
“Ah, yes, good morning” He said, not even lifting his head
“What's wrong with you?”
“Nothing”
She tilted her head and only then she noticed the band aid on his eyebrow “What is that?”
“It's nothing” He repeated
“Come here She ordered, puling his arm and making him look at her “OH MY GOD, WHAT HAPPENED?” She shrieked
He shushed her immediately by putting a hand on her mouth “Why don't you talk louder so that everyone in the entire Korea can hear you? Geez! I said it's nothing.” He said again, letting go of her.
“Your eye is black, you have your face all covered in cuts and you can't even walk straight and you say that it's nothing?”
“I swear if you keep talking this loud, I'll just put a sock in your mouth! Like I said, this is nothing, I just had a small fight with a guy at the club last night.”
“Now you fight guys in clubs?”
“He started it and he got it worse than me” He lied
He smiled, mockingly “Woah... you must be proud. You're going to the hospital, right?”
“Yes, I am and I appreciate your discretion, okay?”
“It's fine by me but you look like a truck just ran over your face so I think my discretion alone won't do it. Let's make it less obvious. Come with me.”
“And how can we make it less obvious?”
“Have you ever heard about make-up?”
“I'm going to wear make-up now?”
“Do you want your mother to see that?” She blurted, pointing at his face
“Yeah, make-up is a good idea.”
Doing the whinny Yoochun's make-up took her a little more than expected, but as soon as she finished and he headed to the kitchen, Hee Soo got out and met Yunho at the gate.
“I'm sorry I took so long.”
“It's okay. Did you eat already?”
“No”
“Alright. Let's grab something to eat first”

It was almost ten thirty in the morning and Sung Ri was having breakfast alone in the dining room and wondering if Junsu was ever going to wake up.
That was typical. She could barely sleep because of what he had said the previous night while he was just sleeping as he pleased.
She finished her breakfast and got up, decided to wake him up so she went up the stairs and when she got to his room's door, she made sure she opened it without making any noise and got inside.
Looking at the boy's bed, she saw him there, sleeping soundly, his sheets, mostly kicked into the floor and his hand under the pillow.
He looked so cute sleeping like that and that just made Sung Ri's evil side emerge as she kept thinking about the most annoying way to wake him up.
Plan A: Remove what is left of the sheets covering him. Plan B: Open the curtains suddenly and let him be blind by the sun. Plan C: Combine both plan A and plan B.
The girl tiptoed next to his bed, preparing herself but for some reason, as soon as she thought about doing something, she felt her arm being grabbed suddenly and pulled towards the bed. She landed slightly on top of Junsu, who just positioned himself enough to allow her some room to remain lying in the bed right next to him while pulling some of the sheets to cover them.
“Yah! What are you doing?”
“Shhh... Stay still” He said, still with his eyes closed but holding onto the girl, who kept debating
“How did you know I was here?”
“I heard you climbing the stairs.” He said and she widened her eyes.
“Alright, now let me go. If you are awake, just get up already!”
“Can you stop moving your legs like that? You're still going to hurt me somewhere you might regret later on.”
She stopped immediately. How could he ever say those things with a straight face?
He opened his eyes finally and looked at a blushing Sung Ri trying to look everywhere but at him so he smiled and gave her a quick peck while still holding onto her waist and cuddling her to his chest.
She ended up accepting the fact that the only way she was ever going to be able to get out of there was if he wanted her to.
“Where do you want to go today?” He asked, breaking the silence
“Huh?”
“For our date. Where do you want to go?”
“You were really serious when you asked about it?”
“Of course I was. We are a couple now, right?” He stated
“We are? Well I have some complaints to make: First, I never heard that we were a couple before today; Second: I never said yes and third: you never asked.”
“Ask what?”
She sighed then. Being able to finally get up as Junsu had weakened his grip, she sat on the bed looking at him “Well, you know, guys usually tend to ask the girls whether they want to date them. You didn't. You just assumed that I wanted to and kissed your way into it.”
“I told you I liked you. Besides, I don't remember you doing anything to prevent me from kissing my way into it like you say” He pointed out.
She scoffed “Like I had a choice if I wanted to.”
“Aha...if you wanted to? So that means you were okay with it.” He said, smiling shamelessly “Anyway, if you want me to do things properly then let's do it. So, do you?”
“Do I what?”
He got up, sitting right in front of her while holding her hand “Do you want to hold to my hand as we walk, hold and hug me and only me, drool over me alone whenever you enter my room and I am changing my clothes an - ”
“Junsu...” She interrupted
“Shh! I'm proposing now so don't interrupt me. Where was I? Oh yeah! Do you accept me to be the only one you will kiss every day and every moment; will you trust me no matter what and more importantly, will you believe that I mean it every time I look at you and tell you I love you?”
Silence
“Sung Ri?”
“Huh...”
“I'm sorry, is that a 'yes'?”
“Yes.” She said, after coming out of her trance “Gosh, why is it that you have to be always this complicated? You just had to ask if I wanted to date you.”
“I wanted to know if you accepted all the conditions” He said as he kissed her again.
“And I don't enter your room when you are getting dressed.” She stated
“Well, you can now because it's fun watching you get nervous.” He said, cheekily
She puffed her cheeks then “Who says you make me nervous?”
“I don't?” He whispered as he got closer to Sung Ri who was already trying to distance from him but to no avail because he was stronger than her and she ended up lying down with him kissing her cheek and then her neck so as soon as his hands started getting dangerously close to get inside her sweater, she spoke once again.
“The cinema.” She blurted
“Huh?”
“Our date. I want to go to the cinema.”
“Alright. Just... give me fifteen minutes.” He said, as he rolled to the other side of the bed
She nodded as she got out of the bed at once and sprinted out of the room. Junsu just sighed then
“Another cold shower it is...”

Yoon Jae had just finished washing the dishes when she noticed Yoon Ki looking at her attentively. She smiled but didn't stop what she was doing.
“It looks good on you” He spoke at last and she gave him an inquiring look “The necklace” He said, while pointing at it.
“Oh. I didn't even say thanks.” She said, embarrassed
“You don't have to.”
“Well, I'll do it either way. Thanks. I love it.”
He nodded and then there was silence again.
They usually didn't have any trouble finding something to talk about, but suddenly it seemed harder than usual when probably both of them kept thinking about the same thing.
“Yoon Jae? Ah... you know... er... although it's weird to talk about it like this but you know... yesterday...” He started and she immediately blushed “What I mean is... are you okay?”
She looked at him
“You know... Are you...”
“OH! Yes, I'm fine!”
“Why didn't you tell me that it was your firs - ”
“Don't worry.” She interrupted “It's not like I'm a porcelain doll or something” She mused “Are you going to stay here for the day?”
“Do you have to go somewhere?”
“No. I have a project to finish.”
“Am I going to be in the way?” He asked
“Of course not, silly. I just wanted to know if you were staying. In fact, you might even be able to help me because I need a critic.”
“A critic?”
“A musical critic. I'm doing a project for college with my friend Sung Ri and we have to arrange this really old song and remake it. I've been doing the vocal arrangement and I need an opinion.”
“Well,” He said “I am surely not the most indicated person to give you a music critic but I can tell you what I think, I guess.”
She clapped her hands excitedly and quickly grabbed his hand, pulling him to the bedroom where she had her piano and the music sheets she had been working on.
She sat in front of it, organizing the sheets as he sat down on a chair in front of her.
“I want an honest opinion, alright? Constructive criticism, please.”
“I promise to tell you what I really think of it.” He said, lifting his right hand and if he was taking an oath.
She started playing then. The melody was calm and soothing, going to a simple and smooth crescendo as she started to sing. It was a melancholic tune although it didn't make him feel sad at all; instead, it made his thoughts wonder in that kind of feeling people have when they are in a state of dreaming awake so he just closed his eyes and let his mind wonder...
“Oppa! Were you here all this time?”
“Huh-huh”
“Are you hiding from something?”
“No, but I feel comfortable here. The weather is great to sleep a nice nap while lying down under the shade.”
“Yah, oppa, we were looking all over for you this morning. You didn't go to school and we thought something happened.”
“You worry too much.”
“And what's with your love for this place?”
“It's quiet.”
“Whatever. Anyway, are you coming today?”
“Of course I will, how could I miss his birthday?”
“Yoon Ki? Hey, Yoon Ki, are you listening?”
“Huh?” He asked, waking up from his thoughts
“Are you okay? You don't look so good.”
“I'm fine. I just suddenly remembered something.”
“Something important?” She asked
“I don't know.”
“And did you hear the song?”
“Of course I did, I can multi task, you know? I must tell you that I really liked what I heard and your voice is incredible.” He stated, before a buzz interrupted him “Oh, I'm sorry, let me just pick this up. Hello?” He said, answering the phone “Oh, right now? It's fine. Twenty minutes and I am there, okay?”
He hung up
“Something came up?
“Yeah, something at work and I really have to go.”
“Of course.”
“Where did you put my books?”
She pointed at her desk and after a quick peek he spotted them. He grabbed the bag and then the book that was still outside of the bag and looked curiously at the book shelve in front of it, noting the fallen picture frame and reaching his hand to put it right but then Yoon Jae's voice interrupted him.
“Leave it like that” She said “I have to put it somewhere else anyway.”
He nodded then, leaving it like she said and exiting the room followed by the girl.
“I'll call you later...” He said, uneasy as he gestured the action also as she nodded and waved at him.
He turned his back to her and started walking away but then decided to go back once again and give her a goodbye kiss as the girl was still leaning on the door frame, looking at him.
It was kind of awkward.
Their relationship started in a weird way and it was as far as he could think about it, completely abnormal but maybe abnormal was normal for them so Yoon Ki decided to think less about it and gave her a smile after that kiss and waved back at her as he went for the stairs, completely forgetting that there was an elevator
