The most frustrating day of my life.
Many, many, many frustrations today.
The biggest one of all:
I had a Dr's apt for the baby at 11:45. My Dr is ALWAYS running 45 minutes to an hour behind. I know this. I was 9 minutes late. I meet the secretary in the hallway of the building and she says "you're late, I'm leaving for lunch". Now I've been there on her lunch break before. No biggie my Dr just comes out and gets us himself. I don't think he takes a lunch break.
Anyway I say "what should I do?" because the door to the waiting room is locked. She answers "ugh just a minute" and goes in the other door which leads to the back of the office. As I'm standing there waiting an elderly gentleman approaches and says "Oh do you need me to open the door for you?" I tell him it's locked and he says it can't be because there are people in there.
I check the door and sure enough it's locked. He reveals that his grandson is waiting and he has just gone down to get his Nintendo DS out of the car. I tell him that I suspect the secretary has just gone to open it for me and he can come in at the same time. We chat a little, he tells me he is seeing the same Dr and they have been there since 11:15 so no worries that I'm late. We talk about how the office is always running behind anyway.
The secretary appears out of the side door and says "you'll have to come in next Tuesday at 3pm."
WHAT?!? Seriously? Yep she's serious. She isn't going to let me in. I'm late.
At this point I'm exhausted. I'm angry. Not a good combination because I cry. I don't want to make the man uncomfortable so I just glare at her and leave.
I already have an apt for next Wed morning at 10 and let me tell you my Dr is going to hear about it.
The sucky thing is he is a FANTASTIC Dr. I love him. I don't mind waiting because he never ever makes you feel like he's rushing you and I really appreciate that. But she SUCKS. I know I'm not the only one with a problem because other mom's who go there have mentioned her as well.
We have a Dr shortage here so even if I wanted to find another Dr I couldn't.
