My troops are bigger than yours/you'll never stand my fight

Greetings from the Ithaca College library! Makes me a little nervous because I'm paranoid of people looking over my shoulder and etc. But that's alright.

We're on day 2 of orientation and we have a bit of a break before I have to go to a presentation about work study. Mmmm, long rambling lectures. And can I just say, thank God for a bit of free time. It's not even that we're especially active, but I'm sure college people can tell you how exhausting it is to be constantly meeting new people and having to make the right impression and say the right thing and so on and so forth. It takes a lot of mental energy. Much more than walking around the campus and such.

But you know, I really can't complain. The people are just so nice and everyone's getting along so well. But of course, we all want to get along now. Later, when we know each other, I'm sure it won't be so harmonious. We saw a little video and it mentioned that we were in a sort of a grace period where everyone just wants to be nice to each other. Which is true, but it's nice for once. Just getting to know people with gossiping and no bitterness. We just all want a place to belong. And I'm alright with that. Here's to new memories!

Details and facebook pictures come later. Alexis and I will be home tomorrow night, so see you all then! Even though it's only been a few days of the college life, I realize it'll be a lot more of that soon and I already miss you all.
