The Return!

Jan 07, 2010 16:45

A shaft of light, a stranger to this place, creaks tremulously across the journal, sending the woodlice scuttling for cover.

Oh god, look at the state of this journal! So many generations of spiders have made their home here that the cobwebs could get on the listed buildings register. The dust! The rot! There are mushrooms!
I am, I feel almost confident in saying, back. You’ll never guess what my New Years Resolution was.

It could be said that I have been on an emotional journey, though it was more like running repeatedly into a brick wall. Then there was the world’s slowest epiphany, rhubarbrhubarbrhubarb, and now I’m back. I hope you will allow me to sneak back into my former niche and not pelt me too hard with rotten produce, I really am most contrite.

I’m going to do an enormous picture post later for Christmas and New Year, which were fairly jolly and had snow on top. For now I would just like to briefly make my return known to anyone who still uses their livejournals, and point you in the direction of my List.

I have hopped on the bandwagon that is mission101. It is very inspiring and strikes me as just the thing I could do with, plus it caters to my love of making lists. I was nervous about posting it, but that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it, getting out of your comfort zone.
Behold the Resolve!

I’m going to get back into journaling properly soon, and beg you already overstretched indulgence until then. I know there has been at least one loss suffered by people on my friend’s list while I have been trawling the depths of the psyche, and I hope nothing else has befallen you. If you have any major life events you wish me to be aware of, please do let me know, email me, or what ever you like. I have wanted to be a part of your lives but spent a long time convinced that it would be better for everyone if I were not. I am in a place of almost-clarity now though, and I hope I can be there for you when I should.
Love to you all.
X
