Okay, so through the grape vine I have heard little rumors once again that the awards we handed out this past weekend have been accused of the ever famous "cult" voting. Which most of you know that you will never get away from. I have tried a million different ways to get around it, and the truth of the matter is that this past round we only had 19 ( Read more... )

What is going to define the difference between the small RPG's and the larger ones?

I am going to leave that up to the discretion of the game. I think games that have a cast listing of more than 10 characters should be considered a larger game, however I think that the moderator of the game would have a better idea if they are a larger game or a smaller game. I suppose you could also go by the number of people you have actually playing in the game. I know that in my game Land of the Joss, we have only 6 people playing, but there is a handful of characters that each of us play, just to keep plot moving along, but I would probably still consider it a large game due to the number of characters we have actually posting in it.

It might be a judgement call for the moderator. It might also be a brigde we have to cross once it happens. Who knows, I might do this, and only have two games nominate and it be a total flop, but we won't know until we try right?

So I figure since I am starting it off with the one on one's it gives us at least a month to work out the wrinkles on defining this.

ok, I know a few games where there are maybe 4 actual people but over 10 characters. That's why I asked.

Also will there be voting for both het and slash 1 on 1's this round? *eyes her 1 on 1 list*
I have way more then three...lol

Yep! I am making the categories right now, and I am trying to cover as much ground as possible for the actual games by dividing it by Het/Slash/Non-Pairing, for Buffy only, Angel Only, and Crossovers. So there will be 9 seperate categories for your games to fall into.

Also since I am splitting them up so much, we are getting rid of the solo, and song fics to make room for more tailored categories, and hopefully a bit less to read... although who knows it might end up with even more to read, but it should be fun!

The limit of three I think would be more for individual character nominations. So even though someone could have 20 games nominated, if they had one character playing in all 20 games they would have to sort out 3 posts to nominate that they felt was their best work for the actor and actress categories.

Sounds good to me.

I most likely would only nom 3 anyhow because I have 3 main ships so that's what I'd put in for nom's is the best out of them.

ummm also what about 1 on 1 on 1's? lol. Rather ask questions now then have a mix up later.

Will there maybe be a alternate reality type cat? I know I have 1 game that takes place in Wonderland, I've seen a few that are a bit out there as well [Andrew and Anya in his dreams] ect.

I think for this first round, we will leave the three player games to go over to the small scale games. I know it seems a bit extreme, since there are some games that have four characters, and such, but for this first round I want to try to keep it as simple as possible and not bend the rules too much.

And for the altered reality, I might have to think about that for the next round of One on One's. My game is the Andrew/Anya game, and I was just going to put that into the non-ship game category.

If I did create an alternate reality category, it would probably end up being called Animated Short or something. But let's see how we do this round, and we can always add more later on.

Ok.

well now I'm mumed. lol. I have a 3way game that I wanted to nom. Right now there are 3 characters but 2 are in the ship and 1 still has yet to really make himself known and such.

Well let's see how this goes. Go ahead and put the nomination up, but make sure you put it in a seperate comment. Put the in the title it is a 3 player game, and we'll see what happens. If others want to nom their 3 player games then we will let it slide in there.

I understand about trying to define small game and that, but if we bump one on one to include three, then someone might argue for a four player and in my opinion that would be a small scale game, even if only two players are all four characters in it. I just want this first round to go off without any snags, and trust me I won't let this place go to the wayside. So by June we might get enough participation to where we can bend those rules to slide in a few games that normally wouldn't get put into the one on one's.

In addition to my comment about the three nominations, I think it is a fair number since mainly in a one on one game you are more concerned with the dynamic you and your co-author are developing rather than the individual character's growth.
