Bleeding Hartt Records
So i just thought i`d take an opportunity to write a littlt while i find myself in a good mood.
First of all todays molly's b-day and i wish i could be there with her i miss her but i`ll see her soon.
2nd of all i had a meeting with tara and neilsen today for bleeding hartt records and i honestly cant explain how much i love this. things are going unbelievably well and finally im working for a record label and its just as good if not better then i assumed my first real job is. it sounds stupid and yeah we only have one band but i do real fucking work. im doing what i love and its fucking awesome. it can only get better from here. tara and i were talking during dinner tonight and we realised how much of an impact this will have on the kids who are starting as freshman they will learn sooooo much and have so much more real world experience then we had. instead of learning about contracts and royalties and copyright they will already have done it. they will learn all of this by experiencing it and i get to be a part of teaching them about it and they want to learn from me and that is the most awesome thing in the world. The people who work on this record label while they are at Hartt will have so much more to take away then anyone before them. the classes can be more challenging and they can have an opportunity to learn more then they ever would have before because they got this experience.
the album that i pretty much single handedly designed and laid out has finally been printed and delivered and it is seriously beautiful and although it has its flaws its one of the things i`ve been most proud of in my life so far. just looking at a box full of a hundred cds and being like hey i did that thats my idea and my fundraising and my layout and damn it looks amazing. I know that there alot of other people whose art and musical talent put in more work then i did but it all came together, got done, got put together because of me and it would never have happened without me is just fucking amazing. I want to have feelings like this for the rest of my life. this is seriously my passion. music is my passion.
I`m going to post pictures up on facebook of the cd once i get a chance to breathe but i just thought i'd share that with you.
by the way if you havent heard of Owl City you need to. they are amazing.
