going non-stop but lovin it

i feel like i've been going non-stop this week. i haven't had much time to just relax. i'm not complaining though. i love being busy. you get to experience so much and spend time with lots of ppl, it's great! i wanted to log this week to remember it.

last weekend...
last friday: after work i went out with my girls from work. we decided to party it up since one of the girls, Kelly, quit cuz she found a new, better job. we pre-drank at her apartment, pigged out on pizza and got ready. we bar hopped, hit up Devil's Martini and then West. i'm still getting used to hanging out with older folk, but it beats being around kids in clubs! i was pretty tipsy and my coworkers are hilarious, i laughed a whole lot that night. definitely a lot of fun.

last saturday: winterlicious for M's b-day! yummy!!! great restaurant pick, even though we had to yell at each other across the bigass table =P, the food and company were great. pamela's new place, and party at the rubio household, overall a fantabulous day!

last sunday: relaxed. i read a lot and played sims (yes i'm a loser). oh i can't wait til this weekend to have another day like this.

monday: i went to the gym after work and had a pretty good workout. i think i'm ready for the treadmill now cuz the eliptical aint cuttin it anymore, but that means actually running...eek! i went home afterwards. my sis had these coupons for some cheap 8x10 photos and really wanted to take some family pictures together since the last time we've ever had a family portrait taken, lisa wasn't even born yet. we got all dressed up and took a ridiculous amount of photos, my parents started to whine to stop, so we let them go while the sisters took more stoopid pics. i felt like a kid again, i kept giggling uncontrollably.

tuesday: i have tutoring after work on tuesdays. crystal was alright. she keeps getting frustrated, on the verge of tears when she gets something wrong. she's better at handling it though. poor kid. still room for improvement and to build up her confidence.

wednesday: winterlicious with tom at North 44!!! it was awesome! the restaurant is no nice, kinda ritzy, and really pretty decor. definitely worth all the dialing i had to do and busy signals to book that reservation! the food was really yummy too. i had some fresh tuna on this salad for my appetizer and then salmon and seafood for my main. tom had some tasty pork belly for his appetizer and then rabbit for his main. rabbit! i had some, i'm glad i can say i've tried rabbit now. it was good, reminded me of chicken and pork at the same time. haha. we had apple crumble for dessert. such a good meal!

thursday: a bunch of us went over to my coworkers house for a Raclette & Fondue night (i so wanna do this again!) this girl's house is like a crazy 70s house. lots of mirrors and 70s decor. she even has this closet room full of mirrors like the 360 room in TLC's What Not to Wear! i hardly hang out with this group of coworkers, so it was fun to be around new people. anyhoo, this was the first time i've seen a raclette. it's like a mini grill where we put veggies, skewered chicken, beef on and then these little pans sit underneath to melt cheese. we had another fondue set going at the same time with cheese. then you just go at it and dip everything in cheese, i had some prime seating right in front of the grill so i ate A LOT. it was sooooo gooooood! then we had dessert, fruits dipped in chocolate! i need to buy a raclette and fondue set!

friday (today): i've just spent 45minutes of my morning writing this at work! haha! slacker! i came in this morning to an email waiting for me from tom. he sent me some beautiful song lyrics, definitely a great way to start the day. he gets brownie points for that one! later this evening, him, myself, dan, krisy, sue and derek are going to winterlicious at Herbs Restaurant! exciting! oh how much weight i'll have gained this week!

other stuff...
despite the mounds of shit and politics that surrounds me at work, my Team Lead who doesn't lead, and not the most gratifying work...i'm learning to take everything in stride. i know i can complain A LOT, but as tom has told me, if i'm going to get through this, i have to make active steps to make my job better. i'm trying not to let it consume me. hopefully i can keep this up and if anything, there's always ray upstairs who i visit often and probably hinder his productivity in the process! haha.

okay, i'll start some work now.
