It wobbles, but it's up

I'm feeling rotten. Much like Craig David, Wednesday dawned with a sore throat, Thursday and Friday were spent bunged up in bed, Saturday = less of a melon head but more of an annoying cough, and today I am rewarded with a hacking, wheezy disaster of a cough that seems to have stripped my insides of...whatever insides are coated with so that you're not meant to feel them.

I was hoping to drive to Gloucester tomorrow to attend a toddlers' Christmas party. I don't think they'd let someone with as many germs as I have over the county line, let alone to the party.

At least I'm being cheered by our jolly red Christmas tree, which I screwed together yesterday. We bought it for a song in January from Habitat. Each year I vacillate between a traditional (albeit plastic) tree groaning with decorations, and a string of lights on some twigs. Now I have a third middle ground option. Course, what I'd really like is a massive house in which I can have different trees in different rooms. Or to live in the Harrods Christmas shop.
