I've not been to many weddings, but those I have attended have had great cakes. Delicious, unique, 'it's a shame to cut it up' cakes.

Here's the latest - from the wedding of strange_powers' brother Alex and his wife Gayle. All of the top table guests were documented in sugar. "That one's uncanny" said another guest, meaning Nick. I'm fairly certain Nick's

The mini cakes were slices of the table, so no opportunity for sugar Nick to eat himself - or real Nick, as Gayle saved them all for posterity. They're a very hard sugar, so should last a long time in a little perspex box.

There sadly was no mini version of the cake itself - it was the first thing I looked for. And my brother and Gayle spirited the figures off for posterity and preservation - apparently they'll keep indefinitely! So I may yet get to eat myself at some future point. Fingers are crossed.

You can lick yourself from time to time when we stay over, as apparently they'll be living in the spare room.
