For me, April is totally birthday season. Several of my friends, ex girlfriend, family members, Hitler, were all born in this month. So i'm constantly celebrating something.
My birthday was amazing. I always meet some of the coolest people. Its awesome. Yeah dull or boring people are all over the place. But i have no problem tracking down the awesome ones.
This is one of the main things i'll miss about the Marines. We all party like its our last time. Because for some of us, thats not far out of the realm of possibility. There's such a close knit bond that forms between a bunch of guys when we're all here for the same reason. TO serve our country.
Something just sort of popped into my head.
Those of you that know me, Know i've already gone to Iraq. As Thousands upon thousands of Americans have.
Can I just say, I fucking Hate it, when people ask me if I've ever killed someone? I mean, its quite possibly the most disrespectful question in the entire world. It's sort of different if I know you. If its a close friend of mine, and they're just dieing to get a small taste of why it seems if I'm not talking, i'm in totally drifting off into my mid.
But god damn. If we were just introduced, you find out i'm in the Marines or have served, and your first question isn't even "How was it?". Its Zero to "You kill anybody?"
I mean, what the fuck. Seriously? You don't want to know anything else? You just want to know you're talking to a guy that has killed someone? Jesus Christ. Really?
i'll never understand gang warfare and all that shit. Americans killing Americans because they were born 2 blocks away from someone else just for personal Pride.
How the fuck is that pride?
I mean obviously i didn't grow up in that environment, so I can't really understand it. But from my personal life experience. From living in America, Japan, and Iraq. I"ve seen the worst of people. I just personally think that we could be doing so much more with our lives than killing eachother over street signs.
i'm rambling.
so i'll wrap this up.
