The Future's Bright
I'm back, baby! Well actually I've been back about a week from my brief stay in the US. I had very positive feelings about the interview, which was very informal and chatty and felt more like a "getting to know you" session than a strict technical interview. The guys at the US office are really friendly and we went out for some tasty Texas BBQ for lunch. I also got the opportunity to see jonazrael whom I haven't seen for years, although I wish I'd been a bit more awake! Thanks for the lift, Jon - hopefully I'll see ya again soon in a more coherent state.
And then to top it off I had a fantastic weekend with Lisa. There was much lazing around, eating good food (our favourite Greek restaurant and our favourite extra-extra-posh sushi restaurant are just to die for) and just enjoying each others company. Perfect! :)
*And*, as if this entry wasn't overly cheerful and positive enough - I got a job offer from the company yesterday in the post!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta read through the masses of paperwork that goes with it, and I have to decide if I want to haggle on salary a bit, but I'm pretty certain I'll take the job. And then... well, then it's start new UK job, get married to the most beautiful woman in the world (sorry, Angelina, but I'm talking about Lisa!) and then as soon as legally possible, swap to working in the US office. And so shall begin... My New Life! It's very very exciting. :D
