This morning, I had a bit of an eiphany. I was reading
this post at
thegoodwife_cbs and thinking what a smart, character-centred, well-acted, well-written drama The Good Wife is. I don't think there's anything quite like it on TV right now, in terms of both consistent quality and ratings success. In fact, when I try to think of another (non-HBO) show with the wealth of strong, believeable characters, female and male, that The Good Wife has, I realised that the only show I could think of was actually a mini-series. State of Play, to be exact - my favourite ever mini-series. I don't write about The Good Wife often, but that should tell you something about how much I enjoy it.
