Oh my god I'm so RELIEVED that Helen isn't dead. Because that would be the end of Primeval, basically.
How often does such an amazing female villain come around? I love Helen so much. Her obsession with her research and the anomalies, her enormous arrogance, her physicality, her seductiveness. She's like the Master, who looked into the time vortex and was driven mad by it - only, I think she's very, very sane.
On another show (say, Heroes, or Terminator), someone who looked into the future, saw that it was inhabited by killer sonar-sensing bi-peds instead of humans, and set her mind to changing the course of evolution might be considered a hero. And while I get Nick's "We can't tamper with the way things are," I really revel in Helen's daring.
