A rumour that's just too big not to pass on: According to a source of AICN, Christian Bale will play John Connor in Terminator 4 (Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins), directed by McG. Meanwhile Devin Faraci at CHUD has also heard that Bale will be in Terminator 4, but playing either the Terminator or a new character to the Terminator mythology.
Could this be the same character that James Middleton (producer on The Sarah Connor Chronicles) described to IGN as the main protagonist of the film, the Ben-Hur to Connor's Jesus? Also, if Bale is indeed attached to Terminator 4, it would give some weight to earlier rumours that Rachel Weisz and Chole Sevigny were contending for the lead female role. [imdb]

Brad Pitt has pulled out of the film adaptation of the political thriller State of Play due to script concerns, leaving the production in jeopardy. The rest of the cast, Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman and Robin Wright Penn, are currently still attached.
