Today was defined largely by writing and work, with a brief but intense burst of Uno at the Rathbun house. Very productive, but I need to be careful and pace myself so my ticker don't go all wonky, especially as the pharmacy is having trouble with the heart meds refill. I need to call Virginia Heart on Monday and get a followup visit.

The fact that cats honor the laws of spacetime more in the breach than in the observance is old news. But what frankly astonishes me in regards to my own particular cats is that somehow, they poop out approximately double their own mass every four hours. Last week, after Buddha was so sick, we had him on medicines and everything was hunky-dory... except that two days later, suddenly Dasher was just as sick, in exactly the same way. O.o

Came home from 1-2 hr outing for mom care to find Dasher listless and low appetite, after having been troublemaker all day. Not obviously "unwell," but definitely not himself. Going to keep an eye on him, if still like this in a.m. will take him to the vet.

Would take up drinking if I could afford it. -.-

Earlier this week, Dasher got into a scrape with a neighborhood cat. Since Buddha and Dasher are both FIV+ (the feline equivalent of HIV+), we limit their time outside and try to keep them away from other cats at all times, to prevent them from spreading it-- but sometimes they get away from us, and that's what happened in this case ( Read more... )
