Why am I being haunted by Thomas Tryon?

Maybe it's because I haven't given his books a fair shot. The one time I tried to read The Other, I ended up falling asleep after about every ten pages or so. I made it through about a third of the book before I abandoned it completely. And for the last few months, every used book store I go to has had copies of Tryon's books...The Other, Lady, All that Glitters...those are the ones that seem to keep following me. After the last incident, (in which All that Glitters fell off the shelf at my feet while I was perusing a book on Zen rock gardening) I've decided maybe it's time to give him another try.

Oh, the issue of The Absinthe Literary Review I'm in is now live! Here is the link to my story (Raven and Coyote). I'm still dead proud of it being accepted.

In other, less-than-earth-shattering-news, I'm on a real necktie kick lately. Don't know why, probably because I've been thinking about scarves and things for Toronto, whatever the reason, I've been buying (and wearing) lots of ties. My newest, and most prized of the lot, is a gorgeous pink paisley Christian Dior I picked up for $2 at a thrift store. I think I'm going to wear it to the Scribes Christmas party Tuesday night.

Okay, back to the real world for me. I have a few things I need to do before I settle in to an afternoon of writing.
