...And scheduling your baseline mammogram.

Luckily I think I will be getting the digital kind rather than ye olde BitSquisher.

Actually, I guess the normal baseline age these days for women is 40. But I had a cyst dug out of me when I was 19, so its enough reason for the doc to bump that up a bit, using the digital version to compensate for my density.

Why is it that a general screening...one that I already knew I was going to be getting, still makes me worry that something will be found?

EDIT: Actually from looking it up there are some bit squishing, but not for as long apparently as the old way since they can manipulate the computer screen for a better look instead of having to go back and take a roll of film every few minutes while you are hanging out. There is breast MRIs these days too, but expensive so insurances tend not to opt for them yet unless necessary.
