Ouch.

I’ve been trying to add some cardio where my multiple extra pounds isn’t as much of a stumbling block. Cycling is good for short rides, but for anything over a kilometer it feels like I’m sitting on the business end of an axe. It takes all of 10 paces or so for me to start feeling my joints if I run.

So swimming it is.

Not too bad last night. I got through 26 lengths (650m or so) with a lot of resting between almost every length. I could feel my form improving over the 45 minutes I was in the pool though, and i was able to string together a couple of lengths together by the end. This gives me some definate goals for the next little while. Like not resting between every length.

I’m still power lifting, but that’s a bit in the background right now. The weight lifting has given me a lot of power, but it’s all in short bursts. My endurance is ultra-crappy right now.

Give it a while and I’ll change it back up again.
