Time calls for a fresh start
The past week was hectic. So many things thrown together at once. Chris still hasn't talked since he broke up with me. Definitely didn't mean what he said. No big surprise b/c I kind of figured as much. Its ok though, I'm better off without him. My family and friends continually reassure me of this when I forget or feel down. There are too many things I need to focus on at this point in life, no time for a relationship just yet.
Last Thurs, Nick called around 10:45pm saying he was in a motorcycle accident about 3 hours before. I thank God he made it out with just some serious cuts and bruises b/c it definitely could have been worse. That same nite, after the accident, he found out his aunt's fiance died, which is tragic. Needless to say, we were both in shock and talked on the phone for about a good 2 hours.
Summer camp begins May 30th. Our new staff started working and they're awesome! Despite the budget cut and no field trips, we're going to make this summer fun. Saturday we had our yearly training at Camp Wewa... 630am-6pm... boy was that a long day! After work, Nick called and asked if I'd take a look and clean up his cuts, since I kept insisting he see a doctor. Spent 3 1/2 hours taking care of him. Took him to Al-b and bought the necessary first aid supplies, picked up Subway for dinner, Blockbuster and got Fun With Dick and Jane, watched it with Dana and Joey, then put my certified first aid skills to use. :) He is good as new.. almost.. apart from the bruises and sore-ness.
Training was again on Sunday. Been packing a little bit at a time each day. Bible study was Monday nite and Dana stopped in to say goodbye to everyone. I miss her already! Ycamp and Bible study are definitely not going to be the same without her. :( Can't wait to make a trip to Debary though. We're gonna explore her new "environment" and be "tourists". She and I talked today and her room is just about set up and everything. I can't wait to have my room set up too.
Took off work the rest of this week so my family and I can move, but will start back next Tues. Today at 11am we had a walk-thru at the new house. Alex wasn't there since he still has school. Already picked out my new room muahahaha :) My parents are about to leave b/c they're closing on the house at 2pm. Too bad I won't be part of it.. gotta pick up Alex. Buuut when we get back, we'll have the keys and will be able to move in some boxes!! Anyway, time to go. Here are some pics of camp fun...
