It's not because I don't like the game. It's not because I got bored. It's because I can no longer run it on my computer. I've done a full reinstall and tried everything that I found on Google but I'm still getting errors when I try to run the launcher. I'm really bummed about not being able to play, and especially about losing my house.

LOTRO's Yule festival started today, and when I was able to get a break from packing I got my long-awaited pretty winter horses.

Morthorn got last year's, a pretty bay with a wide white blaze and greenish snowflake blanket. I named him Juniper:

I got my human hunter to 60, in the space of about a week. I'm going to have to either disable XP, or not use the XP bonus heirlooms if I want my Worglock to see all the dungeons while he levels. Morthorn hit 52, and after finishing a quest line (where I got to fight the swamp monster outside of Moria!) he is eligible to use Legendary items. You get two from the quest line, they also drop fairly frequently from monsters, I've got 4 this way -- not all for my class, but I'm saving the ones I can use and selling the others ( Read more... )

As I wrote before, LOTRO is having its fall festival right now too. During all of their festivals, you can do repeatable quests for two rival drinking societies: The Inn League (run by the hobbits) and the Ale Association (run by dwarves). Yeah I know, I should be re-learning my WoW characters but let's face it, doing new stuff is more interesting.

Last night I got into a nice group and did some group quests, it was a ton of fun. We were all ranged and nuking the heck out of the poor hapless drakes ;)

My LotRO Lore-Master got level 40 tonight, hooray! I'd been struggling for quests the last couple of levels, there were a lot but they were group quests. It's not that I'm anti-social (well okay, a little), but I prefer to play solo especially if I have to be called away by kids at any moment. Cool so I figured out how to take screenshots and how to hide the UI. There will be lots more pictures later, as all of my characters are taking advantage of the appearance tab, and some of them look very spiffy (Kostur especially).
