[The transmission is certainly off to a jerky start. The transmission opens to the tell-tale sound of the communicator tumbling along the ground. Sand, if the listener's ears were discerning enough. It soon slides to the stop, picking up the harsh screams of gulls and the crash of waves against rock and shoreline, and it isn't long before the communicator is sent rolling again, with its attacker in apparent pursuit.]
Tora. [The voice is chiding. The communicator and its pursuer come to a stop.] I can't fix that, you know. Leave it be.
[There's a reluctant, but acquiescing growl, followed by a low laugh.] You were the hardest one to tame, come to think of it. Clever girl. You and Tama both.
[His voice fades into silence, and it's a few minutes before Shouryuu speaks again. When he does, his voice is contemplative, tone light, seeming to be addressing no one in particular, neither is there an apparent reason.] You, meanwhile. [He laughs.] You're an idiot, and even after all these years, I'm still not sure what to do with you, but I don't think I'd have it any other way. Don't change too much.
And you are better than you think you are. Stop worrying and believe in your potential. I certainly see it, and I know I'm not the only one.
I guess you don't need me telling you that you'll make an excellent queen one of these days, Tentei willing. [He chuckles. He all ready knows she will. The future's funny that way.] Age has nothing to do with it in the long run.
It's a pity you can't change the past, that there wasn't an easier road for you, but it's nice to see someone willing to change. I've seen far too many people who won't.
