Clarke's reason for leaving at the end of season two was an intellectual decision. Dante had demonstrated it to her. Clarke needed a walk-a-bout. It wasn't what other characters wanted (see Bellamy), but it made sense.
Octavia's reason for leaving? Largely emotional. What are your thoughts?
Is she finally doing what she wanted to do all season? Leave. Period. Without Lincoln to hold her back... is that what she's thinking?
Is she going to find Indra? But she didn't save any revenge for Indra, so not sure how that conversation is going to go down.
Revenge pout? That's kind of what I'd say is a sibling thing. Octavia's behavior is a little immature... but on the other hand, maybe she's pulling a Murphy. I'm nonchalant about his vigilante justice. Is that a good read on her actions? Octavia goes full!Murphy.

I don't know. I do feel her reason for leaving is largely emotional. She has been itching to leave Skaikru all season, but she's seen Luna's people. Does she think Floukru will take her now? I don't think Octavia's fight is over, though.
I think she'll at least find Indra. Not sure if she'll get to stick with Indra.
It'll be interesting seeing her season four journey, that's for sure.

Clarke so could have chipped herself. She stuck it in the SIDE of Emerson's neck and it traveled to the right place. But she wanted Murphy to do it. And Murphy ignoring Abby when Abby started freaking out to take the chip back out? Loved it. His squeamishness at pumping Ontari's heart? Brilliant.
Bellamy owned his mistakes tonight. He moved forward from them. He tried to talk his sister around from revenge. He stood up to Pike and said what she should have said in episode four.
Seeing him come into his own was so satisfying. It's been such a harsh journey this season.
I only wish he hadn't failed to reach Octavia.
Also, nice callback to his being harvested in Mount Weather.
Yes, I really appreciated the practical application of what they had seen in Mt Weather. Bellamy's comment was some perfect gallows humor.
It's nice writing when the characters who live in this world use their experiences. What's my favorite latin phrase? Experiendo Discimus. More or less, we learn from experiences.
Abby did some pretty creative medical stuff. Wonderful to see her use her skills!
I like that Murphy found it appropriately horrific if necessary.
But Bellamy... maybe I won't feel this way on the re-watch, but what he said to Pike, to me, felt like it could have been done better. But, you know, they were in a highly pressurized situation, so maybe Bellamy couldn't be as eloquent as he can be.
I am also sad he didn't get his message throught to his sister, though. :(
As often as the internet tries to ruin it for me...
The show itself? I love Clexa. Their relationship was something that struggled to be a pure love in a trainwreck of circumstances, how they met, how they lived as leaders for their people, the bitterness of friendly fire, and a pretty kick ass representation of their love as it played out in The City of Light.
Funny, the show in a handful of scenes really gave me peace about shipping Clexa. Reminding me that I really, truly do... want to see all their fanmade music videos.
*chuckles*
Really though, Lexa is A+. I'm torn between wanting her to live on the flame through the next commander... or maybe... could Clarke have the flame back with access to Lexa? Seriously, Lexa's mind is so ALIVE in there. And it wasn't 2.0 doing Lexa's face. That was her.
LOL... sorry, also do not want. That was the anime fan in me leaking out.
I was spoiled that Lexa would be in the finale. I heard there were leaked pics of Clarke on the steps with Lexa hlding her. So I knew. and I STILL screamed "YEEEEEES!" when Lexa leapt on screen.
And then she turns around and smiled at Clarke, and it just melted me.
But... IS Lexa's mind alive in there? Once th CoL is destroyed, what is the chip connected to, now? Does it have its own memory? Hmm, I guess it does, since the new commanders had to recite all the old ones before, and it wasn't connected to the CoL directly.
I need to rewatch the Raven/Wick episodes to see how quickly that happened. Because I was totally sold on that ship. I bet it was as fast as Monty/Harper. :P

As someone who has a younger sibling, this scene really struck home.

He really was a quiet star of the show. And yet still said all the things that really needed saying.

But I kept telling myself, that just gets her closer to John if she's unchipped. Closer to John. CLOSER TO JOHN. aaaaaA!
Close enough for hugs.
Yay!
It's not ideal, but maybe this is the best mid-season landing place for Murphy.

What do you think? Would that pass a younger siblings BS meter?

It was pretty darn romantic.

I gasped when Lexa leapt to Clarke's defense with her badass, gorgeous self and those amazing blades. And then that hug.

My spirit has chosen well.
Lexa was so pleased.

Their reconciliation scene, with Monty promising Jasper it would get better, their apologies, the hug... Started weeping then.
And while I'm not totally sold on the Monty/Harper, I'll get used to it. :)

It was nice to see Jasper & Monty get a real hug! Monty's like, "Ok, dropping your full weight on me? Ok. Gotcha. We're good."
