(no subject)
Moved to the new apartment!
My bunkbed is built and I finally got my mattress. (I had been sleeping in a sleeping bag for the past week). The apartment is really, really nice. Hardwood floors, track lighting, granite countertops, washer/dryer,...probably a lot better than I could have expected.
The only problem is all the sorostitutes and fratfucks who live here. Ugh. The other day they took over the pool and just sat out there drinking 40s and Miller Lites talking and laughing. They better clean that shit up. Seriously though...Miller Lite?! If they're going to be douches shouldn't they at least be drinking decent beer?
And then there was this big group of people who kept pushing the alarm button in the elevator. Disgusting.
I am anngrrry. But oh well...every place is bound to have it's problems.
All I've really seen of the Olympics so fa ris the opening ceremony. That was nuts! I don't think any other country could possibly top that. Amazing~.
I missed the US vs Japan soccer match!!! Nooo! Mmmmmmm.........soccer players.....
I'm sad Bernie Mac died. I used to watch Bernie Mac show all the time. Pneumonia at 50....crazy. And then Issac Hayes died too?? Whhat?
Our apartment is beginning to feel more like home. I just need to get a desk, and some more bookshelves. We need to get a couch too...
Whenever my parents call me they always ask if it's "weird" being roommates with a guy. It's not weird at all. It's not like we change in the same room. With all the roommates I've ever had we've never changed in the same room. It's no different than any of the other roommates I've had.
I'm happy nearly all of my manga fit on two shelves of Tim's bookcase. I have a lot. But all of them fit in there~. A lot of my suff seems incomplete. Previous volumes of things are in Houston while I've picked up later volumes here. #3 of one thing and #6 and #7 of another thing....plus many #1a of series I picked up and decided I didn't like well enough to continue. Half of them are in English and half are in Japanese. I can see I'm going to be borrowing a lot from Cierra though~~ the whole thing of Sailor Moon?? The whole thing of Fruits Basket?? There.
But! Those things will have to wait because I'm behind in my readings for Russian History. My final is next week. (Whoa it's so close! the fal semester is so closes too! ) Blah! I don't want to think about it. I need to find some sort of internship and study for the JLPT more.
