Absolutely amazing! anonymous November 18 2013, 17:35:51 UTC
I just adore the way you make them sound so human, even Michael,. And here I thought he was gonna be a huge robotic by-the-book angel. But you actually brought life into the characters. I just love this. I mean, I spent the whole day just toread all 36 moving chapters... and fearing I would run out of reading materials from you.
Raphael seems to be a bit left out by his brothers, yes? The talks between him and Gabriel, little as they are, actually arouses my curiosity.
The interludes are so cute. Especially the last one.
I am holding my breath for either a brotherly conversation between Gabriel and Raphael, or a sweet confession from Cariel. Well, I can dream, right?
Thank goodness you have those hybrids executed. I was nearly jumping off my bed right there. Justice is served.
I came for the word 'slash' but I stayed for the story. And it was hot! They both are. Keep on writing!

Thank you so much for your especially timely comment! Just last night, I was wondering if anyone was actually reading this story on LJ and debating whether or not I'd even bother posting the sequel here, since LJ is the hardest of the three places it's going. Even one reader, though, makes it worth it ( ... )

Michael was the best older brother you could hope for, but he's also a little broken. A little? A lot broken. If only he hadn't been so traumatized when he was a young angel, he would have ended up a lot saner by the end!

I may post the hug at the end, as a deleted scene. Unfortunately, it didn't work in the context of the story, but it was a sweet moment between Gabe and Raf when they were able to come together as brothers. It didn't happen very often.

Raphael does love his brothers, even though he never shows it. He feels like he is showing it, though, in how he looks after them, keeps them from tasks they are unfit for (demoting incompetence), prevents them from displaying weakness (discouraging emotional displays), and helps them become stronger (turns them into a fighting machine). He's always been preternaturally perceptive, and he's actually (ARGH, again, no chance to explore this in the story!) been suspicious of Sammael since day one. He was sort of able to feel that Sammael had died and come back to life, but had no way of ( ... )

So, I'm all kinds of late to the party, but you made my archangel love grow about a million fold. Just so you know.

Part of my goal of this story was to make the angels, especially the archangels (especially Michael) more likeable/sympathetic!
