I've always been a Michael fan, so I can't really comment on that, but making Raphael more sympathetic is pretty impressive. I mean, he's still a dick, but he's a well fleshed out human angelic dick.

He really does need a hug, though. Preferably the sort that doesn't end in violence.

I'm always happy to hear people who liked Raphael, because I actually feel like I didn't do a great job portraying him. He was even more sympathetic inside my head, I swear!

It's not his fault that he's a dick. Everything he does, he does for love of his brothers, love of his family, love of Heaven, and love of order. It's just that the twins had their ability to understand emotions and empathize split very unevenly. Gabriel got ALL the free-spirited hi-jinks, and Raphael got none of it.

Do absolutely agree, though, he does need a hug. He actually GOT a hug in the series, but I had to cut it out because it was too weird.

Saved it, though. Only piece I cut out that didn't get deleted.
