Smile And Grin At the change all around ...
Sad update to my therealljidol entry. On Friday the Attorney General got an emergency stay of all same-sex marriages in Indiana. So, while the fight is not over, we had a brief shining moment of equality and acceptance.
Also, just so you don't get the idea that all of our government officials are horrible hate-filled bigots (many of them are but not all). The Circuit Clerk, the person overseeing the issuance of the marriage licenses, went out of her way to add extra hours and extra workers to accommodate the huge influx of same-sex applicants.
Hopefully, this will be fixed in court and the original ruling will be reinstated.
Don't even get me started on the SCOTUS ruling that destroys religious freedom (in the name of "religious freedom").
Now, on to business. It's voting time again for therealljidol and I really need votes. The bottom two of each tribe will be eliminated and while I haven't really been in that group yet, I've been hovering near it each week.
