(no subject)
Just a quick posting today. I do hope to get some more posts made in the future. I have lots to say but so very little time to say it in. I've been putting in a lot of extra hours at work and out weekends have been overfilled with necessary activities (mostly buying groceries & such).
However, work will be shutting down for the holidays next Friday and I will have about a week & a half off so I can get caught up on some stuff.
One thing I wanted to tell you about was a strange but wonderful thing that happened to me this past weekend. On Saturday I had to go to the bank to stop payment on last month's rent check because the landlord lost it with the constant flood of sketchy tail he's had next door. I did deduct the exorbitant fee from the replacement check but still, it's really annoying that I had to do this at all.
Anyway, so after that we were very close to this little Pagan shop that we've been to a few times in the past so we dropped in. As soon as I was inside, a beautiful back cat came to me and asked for pettins and I happily obliged. As I was walking around, he followed me and I gave him occasional pettins. Then I approached a glass counter and he jumped up onto it. I was glad because it would make it much easier to pet him but he immediately climbed onto my shoulder and then draped his body around my neck like a stole. He was purring so sweetly and was so warm that I really didn't want him to ever leave. He did stay there for quite a while and I gave him more pettins to keep him happy while he was there. I wanted to get a picture but was afraid it might startle him & I didn't want to take a chance on him lashing out at me.
Still, it was a wonderful and unexpected delight that really made me very happy.
