On the Last Day of GenCon ...
And now we're at Sunday. Started a bit late at the con. I lost my check stub and reference sheet that I needed to file my time online but eventually found it and J~ did some laundry so that they would have some clean clothes for the trip back. For breakfast we each had 1/4th of a cantelope that was bigger than your head (it was really that huge).
beldar & I made our few purchases and picked up the huge haul of review copies of games (expect to hear more about those in the weeks to come). After the convention ended and we all got back together, J~ & A~ went to the Indiana Roof Ballroom for some Swing Dancing. We went out for dinner and later caught up with them at the ballroom. We had never been there before and it was so impressivly beautiful that beldar wants to see about taking dance lessons so we can go back again.
We went home and I pretty much went straight to be since I had to get up at 5:30 the next morning for work. A~ & J~'s train left at about 3 AM so beldar took them to the train station while I got a little more sleep. I did get to say goodbye to them, though.
I really enjoyed their visit so much and I think having them around is part of why I didn't get sick after the con this year.
aceofbirds & theturtlemoves , I just want you both to know that we really loved having you stay with us. You are both wonderful people and I thank you for sharing your happiness and your wedding day with us. You are always welcome under our roof. I really hope we can eventually get up to your neck of the woods but either way, I do hope to see you again soon.
