(no subject)
As of the end of today, I have gotten all of the entering caught up to date at work. Since this was the main thrust of my job, I've been expecting to hear that the assignment was ending at any time. However, I was told today that I'm going to be in place at least through the month of February and maybe longer. Plus, I've been applying for permanent work (which since I've been working there, I have the experience they desire in new employees). Things are really looking good for me.
Of course, the hours are pretty grueling (mainly because I'm working mornings/days & beldar's working nights) but I've made it through so far and we seem to be getting somewhat used to it. I do miss spending time with him and it's still really hard for me to get to sleep alone each night (and the asshole neighbors making lots of scary noises while I'm trying to get to sleep doesn't help).
I am really glad that I bought myself a really good slow cooker this Holiday season. We have really made great use of it and I imagine we will be using it a lot in the coming months.
