Hey everyone! I know I rarely post in the evening but I might not have the ability to post in a timely manner tomorrow or the rest of the week so I thought I'd go ahead and chance it.
In the good news department, I am going into the downtown Kelly office tomorrow to sign paperwork and then I will be starting an assignment for them at the IRS. This is especially awesome as I actually had to call another temp agency and cancel an interview in order to accept the job. Yay me!
What makes this all so much more delicious is the fact that this likely means I don't have to put up with the dipshits at Block again this year. Especially since they made me waste 4 & 1/2 hours today for nothing. It's bad enough that they made me get up early & drive across town this past Saturday for a class that never happened and no notice of it's cancellation was ever given. Plus, one of the women at the place today swore to them all that I had been given a complete interview and even though she confirmed that I was never presented with a contract, told which office I would be at or discussed my hours. Plus, they still have never given me my final paycheck from last tax season nor have they corrected my service level in the system. They expected me to sign my contract then and there without reading or reviewing it. They tried to tell me that if I did I could later get anything I didn't approve of changed but refused to put that into writing (I know better than to believe that bullshit and know that I signed and witnessed contract is binding without any documentation proving otherwise). They are so amazingly full of shit it's unbelievable. I am so glad that it's looking like I won't have to work for them again.
In other news, I had a great Thanksgiving.
beldar & I went over to
veronica_rich's place for the day. I made the turkey & butternut squash praline & she took care of the rest of the meal and it was amazingly great. Injecting a turkey was so much fun that I can't wait to inject more meats in the future.
While there was played a couple of games including
Telestrations which is a really amazingly fun party game. It's kind of like telephone meets Pictionary in which you draw something then the next person guesses what you drew then the next person draws what they guessed, etc. The real fun comes at the end when you go through the twists and turns that your word took. Our best transformation of the night was "Pickle Juice" which through some great misinterpretations became "Bob Marley's Penis Drinking Lemonade".
So, that's it for me for now. I will post some more later this week if for nothing else, I've been seeing a bunch of theater lately. I hope everyone out there has had a great week and I will talk to you again soon.
TTFN!
