On the Second Day of GenCon ...

Day two of GenCon. We did some quick scrounging for breakfast and since beldar had to work that night we drove his car down and parked it in my space (working downtown has a few advantages) and then J~ & A~ drove my car down so we'd have some way to get home. Finished the Dealer's room and the quest but I left my cards at home from day 1 so I had to bring them back tomorrow (no big deal really). We entered the lottery to purchase the "Dark Phoenix" heroclix and both of our numbers came up so we each bought one. I'm going to sell mine later (for a profit but not a tremendous one). We then regrouped in the food court for lunch and decided to go to Footlight and see their production of "Chess" since J~ had never seen it staged. A~ was going to play in some RPGs while we were gone and then we would pick him up after the show.

We then went back to our respective quests and met later for dinner. We ended up going to Hard Times for chili and only got seated right away because we played the pregnancy card. We had much chili covered food and had to rush out before we could have dessert (we were going to split a piece of cheesecake covered in Cincinnati chili - oh well, there's always next year). A~ decided he wanted to go to the play after all and we rushed over and made it just in time. The show was just as good the second time and I so enjoyed watching J~'s expressions as she watched the show. A~ liked it too. He was really surprised by the ending (we kept telling him it was a downer). He decided that he liked the show although he spent most of the weekend with "One Night in Bangcock" stuck in his head.

After the show, we spoke to a few of the kids (this was a young people's production) and two of them thought I was so kewl because I was wearing my Wigu shirt.

Another really great day. I really love being around those two. They are so much in love and they just can't help but make you feel good being around them.
