The friggin' Borg meme assimilated from everywhere -
• Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."
• I'll respond to the comment by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions

1. What is your dream job right now?

My all-time dream job has been working with the Muppets. On a more practical level, I still would adore to work for Ernst & Young again. I did a tax season for them in 2003 (the last one before they sent all those jobs over to India) and loved the work & environment. I had the best record of the whole group but since I don't have a degree, they won't hire me. Shame too, I would really excel there.

2. What would you do if you ever met the Two Theatre Bitches again in a place where you weren't recognized?

First of all, I highly doubt I would ever recognize them again. If I did, I would be sorely tempted to make a complaint with the management of where ever we were to get them banned as they did me. But I'd probably not do anything because I wouldn't want to sink to their petty, crass level.

3. Have you ever traveled abroad? (Not Canada or Mexico - over water.) And where?

Nope. I've barely been anywhere. I've lived in Arkansas, Indiana & Texas. Visited Tennessee & Mississippi a few times on family matters and everything else is due to conventions (Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Wisconsin, & Michigan). Drove through Ohio & Kentucky but that's about it. Only been on a plane twice (to check out Indy paid for by my past work). I'd love to travel but I've never had the money to afford it (the main reason I may never make it to Canada).

4. What is your favorite Shapiro's dessert ever?

The Pumpkin cheesecake cake I had last time I was there. It was amazing. A layer of pumpkin bread cake, an entire pumpkin cheesecake (rather thick, too) then another layer of pumpkin bread cake. Frosting was nice but not really necessary. The fruit tart is also a favorite (puff pastry, chocolate layer, cream layer & topped by fruit).

5. How did you learn to cook, do you remember?

Watching my Grandmother. She was an amazing cook. I spent so much time in her kitchen, watching her cook, mimicking it and then helping as I aged. When she made pies, she'd give me a little pot pie tin to make my own pie in. She taught me to follow instructions but be daring and experiment as well. My mom was a horrible cook and I took over the cooking duties at home as soon as I could. I still love to cook but don't have the space or time to practice as I'd like to.

Ok, so that's it for me. I've got my first training course as a preparer today. I am looking forward to it and am supposed to get paid for it but since they have yet to give me a correct contract (or return my calls) I'm not feeling to confident. I've got to say, if I didn't have the past experiences with the company I would probably have run for the hills and reported them for shady practices already. They have no office that you can go to for anything (people who need to contact them due to audits & IRS reasons are given phone numbers to call). Nobody knows who's really in charge of anything and everyone has a different story as to what is going on in the company. I really hope I'm not going to regret choosing to work for them.

Hope things are good with you all. I will talk to you again soon.

TTFN!
